I wonder if he'll try to come back next year and play LB at 40.

Well when 20 years olds can't do what you do at 40? Show me a guy at 20 that can lift that. He's a mean machine, as is Brady. Until someone can out do either, they are the kings. And the young bucks have to aspire.

I used to take on the line from Toby keith... not as good as I once was, but just once I'm as good as I ever was.

Tom Brady and James Harrison both broke Toby Keith's songs.

Moral to the story????

Listen to rock. For those about to rock....

Bolden. Fire.
Devlan. Fire.
Ricky Jean Francious. Fire.

We salute you!

We are where we want to be. Again, for me I love it because i evidently am old.

We are where we want to be. Where we wished. Don't take for granted.

This is what they let go, because of their great coaching staff..

He will choose to retire a stiller. But we can make him the best champion just like Harrison. Harrison 2.0.

Sometimes thread titles can be ambiguous.

If I am not mistaken, the way the Pro Football Hall of Fame handles this has changed recently.

It used to be that the HoF made the decision based solely on how many years a player was with a club. In the case of a tie - for example with Nick Buoniconti or Mike Haynes - he entered the Hall as a player with both teams.

In those cases when you were to look up Patriots in the Hall of Fame, both of the above were listed - but they were also listed under the Dolphins and Raiders, respectively.

It's not like baseball where the player chooses a cap.

Just looking today, the HoF website has changed from the way they used to distinguish this type of situation. Now they list every team equally (though the bio and pictures make it apparent where most of the career was spent.

For example, see Junior Seau as well as the Patriots on their site:

So Johnny Unitas is a charger hall of famer?

Not saying that he is in my opinion, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame has him listed under that team.

edit: interesting side note that shows I may be off base:

when I go to the PFHoF website, then the Chargers team site, and then click on Unitas' picture, that leads me to Johnny U's page.

There it lists him as 'QB - Baltimore Colts' -- with no mention of the Chargers:
