Gotta roll with the neck roll.

Still my favorite Patriots QB ... called all his own plays ...
those days are gone ... but he called a great game. they were tough mean and enjoyable slug fests.
In the end his toughness cut his career a bit ... sure he would play the same way now.

Lots of porn stashes in that era.

Happy Birthday Steve.

you trying to tell me you're younger than Grogs?...and here I thought you couldn't be a day past 92....

to the rest of you old guys...FCUK Tony Eason...the "champagne" of rattled QB's

Happy Bday STeve my favorite player of all time. Still have the full Steve Grogan football card collection I assembled as a youth while its not worth a penny its still front and center in my collection/card album.

I can't remember exactly who it was, but I do recall Grogan getting up after a cheap hit and grabbing the (DT?) by the face mask and letting him know exactly how he felt about it.

I hope to see some of this kind of fire this year.

I saw Grogan play for the first time as a rookie 5th round draft pick in a pre-season game at Schaefer Stadium. There was something about his play in that game that told us he had a great chance to make the team. Little did we know at the time that he would end up as one of the all time Patriot favorites and play for 15 years.

Grogan was the primary starter until in 1983 they drafted Tony Eason in the first round. After Eason was drafted he had to compete for playing time with Eason and other QB's along the way. I always like Steve's play even when he threw an interception and would get pissed off at himself and sit on his helmet on the sidelines. LOL

I can't believe he's 70. And yes, time does fly. . .

Happy B-Day to one tough m-fer!! I loved the Grogan to Morgan connection.

I know they're not historically accurate, but those red/white & white/red uniforms (with Pat on the helmet, naturally) look awesome, especially the ones with the blue/white sleeve stripes and without the silly shoulder stripes...
