I was listening to Colin Cowherd today, so I don't have a link for this, and Cosell (for those not familiar he is a great NFL films guy who's been done it for years objectively) was asked about Brady.
Cowherd usually loves Brady, but said he had to admit that he doesn't look like he's able to drive the ball anymore and generally doesn't look like the Brady of old. Cosell said that based on the Miami game he sees Brady as strictly a between the numbers qb at this point in his career. He clarified saying that obviously Brady is still capable of quick outs and bubble screens, but that he can't really push the ball downfield in any capacity.
I actually disagree partially, at least with Colin. It looks to me that Brady can still zip balls in there with force over the middle and over short yardage. I do think his accuracy is declining and I agree with Cosell that anything downfield with him is less than a crap shoot.
Cosell also added that because that's what teams will do now, take away everything inside and short to intermediate (which has happened for years against Jets, Ravens, etc..), that it will be interesting to see if the outside wr's can win their matchups enough to give Brady a chance based on his limitations.
