No matter what happens , I think we should be very grateful Tedy Bruschi gave his heart and soul to this team..He is the true meaning of Patriot.... If this is his last season , thanks Tedy for always giving your all..

Kind of hard envisioning winning the Super Bowl and Bruschi staying. He'll be as successful away from football as he was with it ... he has nothing left to prove that is for sure.

I read a article in the Sacramento Bee about him today and it mentioned nothing about him retiring. I'll save you the time of posting the link cuz then you'd have to take the time to register.

Anyway no mention of a Bruschi retirement. If anything,he seemed to have a flare to play a couple of more.

Agreed. The guy loves playing. And he's still a valuable player. I think Troy may hang up his cleats before Tedy does.

When Russ Francis, on Four Downs with Felger a few weeks back, mentioned scuttlebutt of Tedy retiring, it was the first anyone had heard.

I go with Michael Holly in response to these rumors said he knew nothing of those plans at all. Methinks MH would know as he is writing his second book, this one with and about Tedy B. right now.

Tedy's role has changed this year, especially when we lost Junior, so it may appear he has slowed down more that he has. Also, playing with a broken wrist tends to cut down on those interceptions. While, sure he maybe has lost a 1/2 step - no way is not effective, VERY effective and certainly able to play at a high level for another year or three.

That's very considerate of you. It certainly takes less time to jump to a conclusion, which is the favorite past time of some.

imho Tedy will play another year - probably Troy Brown could retire ?

if so i will consider his 'strip' against Mc Cree last week, one of the best plays ever made

    impossible to forget

    the play of the game

When a player comes back after a stroke, mild or not... you would have to think that he is in it for the long haul.

    Something pretty rare.

    Like Bruschi is...

I can see him back for another year; or two.
