That any Patriot fan would give credence to Felger's decidedly negative spin on the Moss' trade verifies that there is a sucker born every minute. Do you have to be reminded who Felger is?
Felger has cozied up to Ron Borges, and continues to openly defend Borges' plagiarism as "not a big deal".
Felger has defended sensationalism, exaggeration and misrepresentation of sports information to the public by saying: "It's just football! Who cares?"
Felger continues to allude to the possibility that Brady has used steroids.
Felger continually referred to the Krafts as "cheap".
Felger frequently brags about his past and present use of the "herb", despite the fact he hosts a show whose time slot and subject matter are bound to attract children.
Felger swore that if the Pats beat SD in the playoffs, he would never again refer to the Deion Branch trade as a mistake. The Pats beat SD, and yet he continues to do so, as one would expect from a liar.
Felger regularly trashed Dillon, and predicted his acquisition would amount to disaster. Oops.
Before the 2007 draft, Felger (a Packer fan) breathlessly broke the story, supposedly from a Packer insider, that Randy Moss would be traded to GB for a package which included injured QB Aaron Rodgers. He was widely ridiculed on the national scene, but attempted to display spine by "sticking with his story". His buffoonery became all the more obvious when BB exposed him for a hack by acquiring Moss, under Felger's very nose. The Moss trade demonstrated to any national editors who might have been intrigued by his girlish figure that the ambitious Felger (a) can't even cover his home turf and (b) is out of his league as a national reporter. It was a very embarrassing come-uppance for this upwardly mobile Farrah Fawcett clone. IMO Felger's resentment over the trade, and subsequent skewering of Moss, stems from this humiliation, and the fact that the Packers, the team for which Felger openly roots, were deprived of Moss' skills.
If this post comes across as too mean-spirited, I apologize. But Felger deserves a beating now and then when he gets more sloppy, lazy and manipulative than usual.
