That any Patriot fan would give credence to Felger's decidedly negative spin on the Moss' trade verifies that there is a sucker born every minute. Do you have to be reminded who Felger is?

Felger has cozied up to Ron Borges, and continues to openly defend Borges' plagiarism as "not a big deal".

Felger has defended sensationalism, exaggeration and misrepresentation of sports information to the public by saying: "It's just football! Who cares?"

Felger continues to allude to the possibility that Brady has used steroids.

Felger continually referred to the Krafts as "cheap".

Felger frequently brags about his past and present use of the "herb", despite the fact he hosts a show whose time slot and subject matter are bound to attract children.

Felger swore that if the Pats beat SD in the playoffs, he would never again refer to the Deion Branch trade as a mistake. The Pats beat SD, and yet he continues to do so, as one would expect from a liar.

Felger regularly trashed Dillon, and predicted his acquisition would amount to disaster. Oops.

Before the 2007 draft, Felger (a Packer fan) breathlessly broke the story, supposedly from a Packer insider, that Randy Moss would be traded to GB for a package which included injured QB Aaron Rodgers. He was widely ridiculed on the national scene, but attempted to display spine by "sticking with his story". His buffoonery became all the more obvious when BB exposed him for a hack by acquiring Moss, under Felger's very nose. The Moss trade demonstrated to any national editors who might have been intrigued by his girlish figure that the ambitious Felger (a) can't even cover his home turf and (b) is out of his league as a national reporter. It was a very embarrassing come-uppance for this upwardly mobile Farrah Fawcett clone. IMO Felger's resentment over the trade, and subsequent skewering of Moss, stems from this humiliation, and the fact that the Packers, the team for which Felger openly roots, were deprived of Moss' skills.

If this post comes across as too mean-spirited, I apologize. But Felger deserves a beating now and then when he gets more sloppy, lazy and manipulative than usual.

He also called Belichick "weird" even after the coach took the time to write the epilogue for his pathetic book. When a man of Belichick's stature takes the time to do you a favor like that, do you turn around and call him weird?!!

Creating a seperate and redundant thread to repeat what you already expressed in an existing thread serves no purpose other than to call attention to yourself and/or to him - playing right into his hand, Pony.

You are right. Moderator, please delete this thread and spare us all.

What I find a bit more annoying is 1) That he knows better..He wrote a book about the franchise albeit more stories and quips and hardly an in depth history, BUT he knows the background and still he cotinues to attack the franchise at its pinnacle...KNOWING what this franchise has been like.. 2) And can one imagine in the middle of Lombardi Packer 70s a writer like Felger trashing the team as Felger is doing now?? That would be heresy and yet THAT is exactly WHAT he is doing..

Since Felger has made mistakes in the past, everything he says and the person hmself must be wrong and ridiculed. How insightful.

There is merit in what you say, and I plead guilty. However, keep in mind that the same thing for which you excuse Felger is what Felger uses against his own targets, like Dillon and Moss.

Let's withhold comment's on Randy Moss until we see how he performs on

game day. It may be true that he doesn't go all out in practice sessions.

Thanks. I just like to think we ought not stoop to his level.

That would be quite a stoop.

If he was wrong in the past, he'd get cut some slack. It is continuous, harping agenda, similar to Borges, that is getting offensive.

For Borges at least it was a personal agenda. Yeah, he went down in flames, but it was tragic in a way because he could not separate his agenda from reality.

Felger is just a media whore. Whatever might cause controversy or what will make people listen to his show. Fine. He has lost touch with the Patriots, and it is a joke that he labels his columns a Patriots insider. Nothing could be further from the truth.

He's definately no Lee Majors, but does display some Ryan O'neal. The Fawcett comparison is out there, though.

He's probably more compareable to Skip Brainless or Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Something along those lines.

I have to admit, it was pretty funny that his big story stating that the Moss trade to GB was a done deal blew up in his face. I mean, the fact that Moss ended up being traded to the team Felger covers is GREAT, and makes him look like a moron (like he needs help).

the best part of the moss trade was that it pissed off felcher's love interest, favre. i wish he would have quit. felchy would have been po'd.

Ahh, Now I think we have hit on why little Mikey Felger has already started his diarea of the mouth when it comes to Moss. It will be fun hearing him try and crap on Moss when he catches 3 TD's in a game for us...

I don't need half that many reasons to totally ignore him, which I do.

I'll never forgive that cheesehead for writing the book on the old Patriots, possibly preventing someone who knew what he was talking about from doing it.

Well he's getting his wish, he's story is being reference by every "writer" who wants to find a flaw with the pats.
