Actually he mentioned five specific areas of a possible dozen or so (OL, TE, RB, WR, QB, DL, LB, DB, kick coverage, kick returns, FG unit). I think they listed the right problem areas.

agree but this theory could apply to any team which needs to be good ..nothing specific to the pats - protect the qb, stretch the field, stop the run, run the ball consistently , special teams ..
 
espn analyst are tools. they only look at the stat sheet and spew their junk off that. Run defense was fine unti vw went out, and its hard to stretch the field with your te when he is sitting on the bench with his leg wrapped
 
at least the Patriots didn't waste money retaining Adam Vinatieri.

I haven't heard anyone suggest that he would have been the difference in yesterday's game. Deion Branch, David Givens, Willie McGinest or even Tom Ashworth or Joe Andruzzi, maybe, but not Adam Vinatieri.
 
Andruzzi and mcginest are having their own problems in cleveland. Joe is a turnstyle and Willie looks real old without seymour in front of him
