Julian Edelman reinjured right foot, will miss OTAs
Just saw that too....
Doesn't sound too serious, I mean it's a setback and I'd rather it didn't happen, but I'm not overly concerned.
Great tits. Best thing ever happened to this thread.
Can we keep him in a bubble until September? Might be the only way to keep him healthy.
hope he gets better soon it sucks for him, am happy the pats Drafted two WR's this year
You should check out Eyes Wide Shut then
Edit: This is a little bit of a nonsequitter as while she is in the movie the role I was thinking of when I made my comment was not played by her. But still plenty of tits in Eyes Wide Shut.
Damn! Our "elite #2" injured his foot again!
Its Moe time!
Yeah but one of the draftees, Boyce, had foot surgery in Feb/March, so he might be out as long as Edelman. Man, I can't believe guys are getting injured 4 months BEFORE the season, this team is cursed when it comes to injuries. If the Pats EVER had a full squad, I doubt anyone could beat them.
And our #1 DI wanna be is being a dick again. So what's your point.
Are implying he wasn't elite in the Raven's playoff game (the one from 5 years ago)? He hasn't had a chance to play since then.
Edelman is one of the guys in the mix for the #3 and 4 WR spot with a leg up because of familiarity with the system and ability as a PR. This is a setback for him for sure, especially if you consider Amendola has the potential to take his return duties. Still, I'm not about to write him off yet, especially considering we have NO idea how any of the other WR's will gel with Brady.
Edelman needs to find women who do not enjoy foot sex.
Not sure how making fun of the fact that one of the posters here (can't remember who exactly, but I think it was tony) called him an elite #2, which is a joke given the actual elite #2's of the league, makes me a "DI wanna be dick". But I digress. Edelman is not an elite #2. He's not even an elite slot receiver. That's why the contract he got from the team was as a rental with no guaranteed money.
He's been given every opportunity to play since then. He's either gotten injured, or hasn't earned it. Again, the contract the team gave him speaks volumes about what they think of him. I'm inclined to agree, in this instance.
Come on, bruh! I believe in you!
Maybe this is what Clark meant by Brady's "ghosts?"
if only we had a durable, consistent option at the slot position. oh wait..........
tony will be disappointed, no doubt.
Aww, crying about Welker. Cute.
Good chance for T.J. Moe to get a lot of early reps.
I know, I was also poking fun at the posters who are little opptimistic about Edelman.
Good thing we are not depending on him, Slot WR's are a dime dozen.
This is unfortunate. Edelman, due in part to injuries, has not yet assumed a major role in teh offense but he was getting more time last year before he got hurt and he was effective. He is not a natural receiver but is a dangerous runner with the ball in his hands. I see WR as a position of glaring need with Amendola, Jones, and a couple of rookies, one of whom has a broken toe while the other was the third leading receiver at Marshall University. If healthy, Edlelman will see plenty of time. I hope he recovers and that this is not a lingering Lisfranc or something.
The guy is far too injury prone and because of that you cannot depend on him. I think the Patriots would be better off to cut their losses now and move on.
Leon Washington's competition in the return game and the rookies' competition with JE for receiver reps seems to be affected.
I know of nobody who had locked him in as "winning" a #2 WR slot.
Bad news, though, obviously.
Hopefully he didn't collide with Glas-I, did he?
Well done then, in that case. I consider myself to be a master of sarcasm and even I missed that one.
Oh well....i guess it's better to be done with this early.
Is Amendola healthy after practicing with Brady?
Wow...this is a shocker
I'm glad that we re-signed Edelman, but I also think that he'll have to earn his job this summer, just like (most) everyone else.
Those who see him as a "100% lock" are fooling themselves. The last 2 positions at WR are definitely up for grabs after Amendola, Dobson, Boyce, and Slater.
Separate names with a comma.
