something like 10-15 seconds before the snap?

I don't remember the exact time left on the playclock, but yes, the coach to QB system is turned off prior to the snap.

(Or at least that's what was reported during the game last week)

Yes, they shut off the radio to the QB with 10 seconds on the play clock.

And the Radio frequencies are set up by the league prior to the game. And the league officials are the ones who hand out the radio equipment prior to the game and collect it after the game.

They should have everyone miked up and play them like puppets.

Thanks I thought it was 10 seconds in the NFL but I couldn't remember.

I was checking because someone was trying to say your coach could come over the speaker and tell you what defense they're running after you come to the line. This didn't sound right to me since I know the radio shuts off prior to the snap.
