Word out of Colts training camp has it that Safety Jamie Silva, former BC standout, tore an ACL in the 1st Colts preseason game and will be sidelined for the year. Tough break for a kid who knows how to play the game.

My all time favorite BC player. He was on the team last year and pretty much a lock for this year, he's the Colts Kyle Arrington.

Yup..... I don't like to see anyone injured like that, even on another team. I wish him well.

However, after all the crap the Patriots have taken over the years, especially with the injuries the team has had to deal with, I don't sympathize much when this happens to another team.

Terrible to happen to any player, much less a rookie, much less an UDFA. Starting out with such long odds to reach his dream, now he has to be away from football for a year before he tries again.

It's one thing when a guy like McKenzie or Crable gets hurt, but is almost guaranteed a roster spot the next year (or at least every chance to earn one). This is just plain sad.
