...Dobson is more talented and has more upside despite his struggles. He might not make the 53 but he is certainly a better option than KT with all due respect to the guy.
Chad Jackson also had a ton of talent and more upside. He was a massive bust, but people forget he was the #1 WR on a lot of boards that spring.
It's probably too early to give up on Dobson, but at the same time, upside and potential don't always develop. At some point, you are what you are. This is probably Dobson's last chance in New England.
But if KT is free, why not bring him in? Knows the system, has some chemistry with Brady, looking more and more likely that Lafell won't be there for the start of the season, Dobson has a long track record of injury, Wayne is still adjusting and getting into game shape, Jules has been hurt...it makes a ton of sense to pick up the phone.
