It's kind of funny, because the Colts go into every season (with the exception of this year and 2007) coming off a disappointing playoff loss (yeah I'm sure the SB was disappointing, but I mean like a first round exit that they didn't expect). They add no big names, they pick near the bottom of the draft, and their offseason goes pretty much unregarded. Sometimes they lose players like Harrison, James, a starting LB, health questions at safety, etc.
Yet every year they're considered the favorite to win the division because of Peyton Manning. I even thought they would take a step back last year, and thanks to Manning they didn't at all. So, if you ask me what the expectations for the Patriots this year should be, I would say: BB + Brady has led to a division championship for each of the last SIX seasons that Brady has played. Until they're knocked off that perch, that's my expectation. Just like I'm not saying the Colts are due for a bad season with Manning until I see it happen.
