Ya, that's only double the fine that Favre got, when he actually did what he was accused of. Since the CBA stipulates that the League doesn't have the authority to demand phones, the idea that players can be fined for not turning them over is beyond absurd.Well, if it's the $50K fine for not turning over his phone then I would be fine with that.

Source? Are you referring to this tweet?NFL reportedly sticking to 4 games per Schefter. Nothing to see here.
The perception will be that Brady is guilty even if Abraham, ************, Muhammad, Buddha, Krishna and Confucius all descended from whatever heaven(s) they inhabit and declared on the 50 yard line in Foxboro that Brady was as pure as the driven snow.According to NFL radio this morning Brady and Company offer to accept a fine if the suspension is removed completely.
If this is done to avoid a court case it's probably a cheap way out but perception will be BradyBrady is guilty.
I have said out here from the very beginning that Brady's interests and the NFLPA's interests could at some point diverge.Agreed. Hard to believe the NFLPA hired Kessler only to accept this result.

I've been torn on this myself. I'm trying to weigh the potential outcomes versus the pain of having to wait for things to happen continuously. For example, what are the odds that taking this to court actually results in something blowing up the way we'd hope? I think the most likely positive outcome of court is they deem the process was unfair, the punishment on Brady is vacated. That's great, but that won't change anything in the court of public opinion, where everyone will say that Brady skated on a "technicality".

So in my mind, our most likely choices (assuming the NFL would ever consider this offer), is Brady gets fined, the public thinks he's a cheater, and we move on. Or Brady goes to court, it's dragged out all season, the public STILL thinks he's a cheater, but at least he saves some money. I'm honestly undecided on which I prefer.
tom has to win in court now but im not that confident since nothing has gone our way during this ridiculous investigation.
