Cardinals fired HC Ken Whisenhunt. Up to 7 HCs today.
I'd highly doubt if we'll hear anything on Ron Rivera's future today, if even this week. I'm told Jerry Richardson is not around today.
Whisenhunt out
Where did you see the Rivera firing?
McDaniels has said he doesn't plan on leaving.
I think O'Brien is going to stay at Penn State. He really turned that team around given the tarnished reputation from the Sandusky affair..
Yes, Adams took off the mittens and gave a double-barreled middle finger to Mike Reinfeldt.
“He has two more years to go on his contract but I think we’d be better off without him,” Adams said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “I don’t think he was getting the job done. Mike Reinfeldt is out.
Interesting that Bud Adams didn't fire his coach, and he didn't fire his G.M., but he fired the guy who hired them:

I was talking to a couple Bears fans in a sports bar yesterday and they told me the feeling was that Lovie Smith was definitely gone if Chicago missed the playoffs, and possibly gone if they had made it but were one and done. The general feeling was more than just the back-to-back second half collapses; it was that most felt there was way too much talent on the team for them to not have a better record.
There were injuries of course, but every team has injuries. If that causes a team to collapse, is that on the head coach for not coaching up the backups? Or on the GM, for not acquiring better depth?
On a separate note, Rich Cimini at espnNY throws out a bunch of names for the next possible GM of the Jets; notable names include former Bears GM Jerry Angelo, and former Colts GM Bill Polian.
