QB/PTP thread. Hopefully we're just looking and not buying for the next 10 years. That's no fun.
Now this is a very interesting class. Sounds familiar, sure, but this class has a lot of potential. A lot. A lot of these guys have been working through growing pains. Trying to put it all together to put the finishing touches on a resume to one of the 32. More than a few of these guys have impressive tape, traits & potential but still have that haven't gone from A to B with the consistency you'd like. Last year was a mess so it's hard to critique anyone that hard, 2020 was just bonkers in many ways - health, continuity, logistics ... This is the year they want to put a stamp on their college careers. Guys like Ridder, Rattler, Howell, Daniels and a few others don't want to be back next fall. They want to put a stamp on it. So if we're lucky we might see it come together for a few of these prospects and witness their best years to date.
I see a lot of talented clay to mold in the first 2 or 3 tiers (1, 2A & B). Potential is there for a deep class. We'll see how it plays out.
How I graded the position ... Try to remember I don't "rank" prospects against each other. They go through a scale and I just let the #'s fall into place. I try to take my personal bias out of it as much as possible. Try to adapt and evolve. Not easy.
Tier 1
Kenny Pickett - 6'2/220 - Pittsburgh
Matt Corral - 6'1/205 - Ole Miss
Desmond Ridder -6'4/215 - Cincinnati
Sam Howell - 6'1/225 - North Carolina
Carson Strong - 6'4/215 - Nevada
Malik Willis - 6'1/215 - Liberty
Brock Purdy - 6'1/210 - Iowa St
Kaleb Eleby - 6'1/215 - Western Michigan
Bailey Zappe - 6'2/215 - Western Kentucky
Chase Garbers - 6'2/225 - California
Jack Coan - 6'3/220 - Notre Dame
Dustin Crum - 6'1/215 - Kent St
D'Eriq King - 5'10/205 - Miami
