August 24, 2014... the Bills cut him after he allegedly was arrested for a DUI.. guess BB knew the rules better than Marrone did.. as apparently the mandatory suspension kicked in after Nov. 1, 2014...

Another talent BB and crew picked up... maybe his DUI was his "wake up call"????

It ends a disappointing run for Branch, who signed a three-year, $8.5 million contract with a $3.1 million signing bonus last December. He started 13 games for Buffalo last year but found himself on the roster bubble even before Saturday's misadventures. The Bills will save $1.9 million by letting Branch walk.

Branch resolves DUI charge

With a November 1 deadline for resolving pending DUI charges to avoid the mandatory two-game suspension under the new substance-abuse policy, newly-signed Patriots defensive lineman Alan Branch has done just that.

Really amazing how well this unit played yesterday against a great OL and rushing attack - and with Sheard out.

So flexible up front...Go heavy with Branch, Hicks, Brown, or rotate Sheard inside with Easley, wtih Jones and Nink on the wings...options, options, options.

The Patriots are always flexible, but this team can change a dozen things on both sides of the ball in mid-flight.

If the CBs could have held for just another half second, the DL might have had 8 sacks yesterday. Easley was nearly on top of Fitz on a half dozen of his throws.
