Patriots work out DL Armstead - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

    Pats worked out Armond Alstead.
He was an interesting prospect last year. Good USC DL in a nice 3-4 DE package.
He had some heart condition and was prohibited from playing his senior year, and went undrafted. He claims a heart attack due to the notorious painkiller Toradol.

Apparently had a nice season in the CFL and could be a very nice prospect for the Pats D without costing a draft pick.

I'd be very interested, and sort of surprised he is available.

I'm a big fan of this. We should be more active in CFL scouting - theyve put out a few gems the last few years.

well, hes a patriot now. idk how he fits our scheme though. clearly his best fit is a 3/4 end or 5 technique. interior d lineman looks like his position in our scheme. i like him a lot coming out of college and his brother arik has talent too
