yes . . . you are correct and a lot credit goes to Tuna for "givinn BB his start" which is not totally correct . . .
 
The problem this year was Tuna didn't have Mayo. Tuna's just not as good without Mayo.
 
You are correct. Ray Perkins was coach of the Giants when BB arrived. Parcells was D coordinator under Perkins.

Parcells kept BB on staff after Perkins went to Alabama for the 1983 season and Parcells became head coach. Parcells was nearly fired after going 3–12–1 in his first year. He did promote BB to coordinator for 1985.
