NFL CAP + Total adjustments+2013 carryover = 2014 adjusted cap number of 131,806,223
Right now, I have the Patriots 2014 cap commitments as $122,058,131
I expect the following to happen which will increase that number
Signing Forston 75,000
Signing the other 7 practice squad players $0
Tendering Danny Aiken at the lowest RFA tender level 894,000
McCourty's escalator 3,000,000
Amendola's per-game roster bonus in 2014 31250
Ninkovich's 2014 playing time incentive 250000
Other possible changes to cap commitments - Ridley could play in a high percentage of snaps the last two games earning a 600K salary increase for 2014. McCourty may not have increased his 2014 escalator by $3 million.
After the five occur, the cap commitment total is 126,350,250
2014 adjusted cap number of 131,806,223 minus cap commitment of $126,350,250 equals 5,455,973 in cap space with 62 signed or tendered players.
