It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I'm not necessarily agreeing that we can't manage to keep him, but I'm also not disagreeing. I do agree he'll make a good starter somewhere though. We can't afford to keep Harmon and are going to miss him. He is going to be a good starter somewhere in the NFL.
I'm never one to rain on the parade . . . or at least I try not to be. But Edelman and Amendola have not been out there yet, so I'll reserve some judgement still. But I'm obviously still happy to read such news and am HIGHLY optimistic that this D overall will be among the top units in the NFL this season (provided good health). That's great to hear. I've heard nothing but good things about the Cornerback play from camp...really hopeful
But will He play on a Sunday?Getting ************ under the salary cap will be easy.
0.0% he gets traded.
That guy was trash!!! I totally forgot we traded him.We got something for Jordan Devey.
I've been saying this foreverAnd you know this how?
I bet you said the same thing about Lawyer Milloy, Drew Bledsoe, and Richard Seymour.
It's much more likely that he gets traded because of the following:
1 - Last year of his contract.
2 - He's the lesser CB who needs to be signed between him and Butler
3 - His value is very high as a solid #2 CB.
4 - The team needs to focus on Hightower and Collins more than Ryan.
i would think king challenges slater more, since king and slater are both gunners. plus bolden plays meaningful minutes as a backup RB, while slater doesn't really provide much as a backup WR.I wonder if King challenges Bolden for a ST's roster spot this season. He has looked really impressive since joining the team.
Perhaps I'm in the minority but I'd definitely like to hold on to White this year. Useless runner but he proved himself to be a solid fill in as our receiving back. Dion Lewis will always be an injury risk. It's reassuring to have White...I liked what I saw from him in that role last year.James White really is facing an uphill battle this year I suspect.

As we know receiving backs are always an integral part of our offense.
As for Logan Ryan I don't want to trade him. He was solid last year and makes a good 1-2 combo with Butler. He should be expendable next season when Jones has gathered some experience. I also have hopes that Roberts can be a contributor.
Hey bbobbo, respect. I HIGHLY disagree. Slater is not going anywhere this season. We'll see what happens with his contract afterward. And Bolden only gets meaningful minutes as a backup in a situation like last season when the team was decimated at the position (among others). Otherwise, I still think it comes down to King or Bolden, though I would not at all be surprised if both make the team.i would think king challenges slater more, since king and slater are both gunners. plus bolden plays meaningful minutes as a backup RB, while slater doesn't really provide much as a backup WR.
I agree with pretty much everything here. I would like for them to hold on to White, as we don't know what Lewis will look like necessarily. I expect he'll play well and produce, but we've seen more often than not a player needing two seasons to really look like himself after an ACL. White proved he could be a threat in the passing game but continued to underwhelm in the running game.Perhaps I'm in the minority but I'd definitely like to hold on to White this year. i'm not saying that i think slater will be cut--not much of a cap savings, and slater is such a good locker room leader. i'm just saying in terms of what makes sense positionally, i think it would make more sense to cut slater instead of bolden, since king and slater play the same ST position.Hey bbobbo, respect. And I don't know who is advocating Ryan be traded, but we definitely have a better chance of making it back to the promised land with him than without him for sure. With the way the game is played and officiated today, one can never have enough skilled, experienced corners. Ryan may be inconsistent at times, but he's still better than a lot of other teams' #2 CB. I want him on this team.
Only 53 on the roster. This team has so many high quality starters returning plus lots of very good backups it is going to be necessary to cut some really good players. There will probably be several players cut by the Pats that end up starting for other teams. #FirstWorldProblemWhy do we need to decide between keeping Slater, King and Bolden? There's 11 players on ST at a time, no?
Hey buddy. I never saw your post. I didn't know who K was speaking to. I was only responding, or adding to, what he wrote. So no harm, no foul at all, my friend.I just want to make it clear that I certainly wasn't advocating for Ryan to be traded
– Belichick also caught our eye with some creative hands-on work with his specialists. As practice winds down, Belichick always calls for Stephen Gostkowski to come out and boot several field goals. On this day, despite the rain and already slippery grass conditions, Bill decided to add to it.
First, just before long snapper Joe Cardona snapped the ball, Belichick took a water bottle and squirted water all over the ball. Next time, as players were all lined up, he squirted at the hands and face of holder Ryan Allen. And finally, the next time he did it to Gostkowski as he was readying to and kicking the ball. All field goal attempts were good, by the way.
