This is a very handy tool, Ian. Thanks.

However, for some reason, my changes aren't being saved after I exit and return. I tried this on Firefox and IE and neither save the changes made for me. Could this be a settings thing on my end?

Ian, is there going to be a mobile version or no? I tried playing with it on my iPhone but I can't drag or drop anything. If not it's no biggie, was just curious.

Bequette is listed as defensive end, ¡¡¡HE IS IN BIG FFFFFFF TROUBLE!!

Any chance that Bequette replaces M.Hoomanawanui?

IDK...but here is what Bill had to say recently of Hooman ...

“He makes adjustments quickly and understands what’s going on, so if we need to change or adapt or make some type of adjustment, he’s good at that,’’ Belichick said. “A lot of formationing is done by the tight end, and therefore their assignments are based on a lot of different things — defensive ends, linebackers, safeties — there’s really a lot for them to recognize at that position that fluctuates quite a bit. I’d say he does a good job of all that.’’

Hopefully Brady, LaFell, Fletcher, Wendell, and Jones can play week 1, but this doesn't look terrible. I'm excited for Thursday...I'll write up a new 53 after that and explain stuff more.

55 is certainly fine for now. I usually have a 60 man roster at this time of year. After all, there will players on suspension, on PUP, IR, NFI and so forth. **** happens.

I think that we understand that we won't carry 7 WR's, and that we are unlikely to carry 6 CB's. So, that makes 53.

COMMENTS
I like your list a lot.
1) I would carry one more RB than you list in place of the 6th WR.
2) Groy has a long way to go to beat out Kline, who has started at LG. I like Groy, since he plays center.
3) While I like your list of LB's, I would rather have one fewer and add Chris Jones.
4) I really don'y think that Mason is our backup center. If Stork were injured, Wendell would move to center. Alternatively, Groy would step in.

James White could be replaced by who knows.
Tyms could be interchangeable with Dobson or Boyce or maybe even Harper but he's more likely PS>
OL Andrews could lose out to another CB, the one place I would like Roberts or Swanson or Freeney at LB (forgot about hime).
Went with only 4 LB's because most of the DE's can play OLB.
Chris Jones could lose out to Zach Moore.
But I will go with the following.

QB (2) T.Brady, J.Garoppolo
RB (5) L.Blount, J.Gray, B.Bolden, , J.White
WR (6) J.Edelman, M.Slater, B.LaFell, B.Gibson, B.Tyms, D.Amendola
TE (3) R.Gronkowski, M.Hoomanawanui, S.Chandler
C (3) S.Mason, D.Andrews, B.Stork
G (3) T.Jackson, J.Kline, R.Wendell
T (4) M.Cannon, N.Solder, , S.Vollmer
DE (5) R.Ninkovich, J.Sheard, T.Flowers, G.Grissom, C.Jones
DT (5) D.Easley, M.Brown, A.Branch, Chr.Jones, S.Siliga
ILB(2) D.Fletcher, D.Hightower
OLB(2) J.Mayo, J.Collins
CB (4) L.Ryan, M.McClain, T.Brown, M.Butler
SS (4) P.Chung, J.Richards, T.Wilson, N.Ebner

Yep with the WR's and CB's. I hate to do this but I'm going to say J.Boyce and M.McClain.

WR (6) J.Edelman, B.LaFell, D.Amendola, B.Gibson, A.Dobson, M.Slater
CB (5) M.Butler, L.Ryan, T.Brown, B.Fletcher, D.Roberts

1) I would carry one more RB than you list in place of the 6th WR.

I understand your concern about RB but IMO were going to be ok with those 5. I remember watch Ridley and Bolden in 2012 and thinking..."I don't care which of the 2 run the rock...both are getting it done". In 2012 and 2013 Bolden averaged 4.9 YPC with 111 total carries. He is the best blocker out of the potential 3rd down back group "Bolden has been the main man for Tom Brady as the pass catching/blocking back during the past three practices" http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/..._has_emerged_as_leader_for_shane_vereens_role . He has 10 or more receptions so far in TC.

B (5) L.Blount, J.Gray, B.Bolden, J.White, J.Develin.

2) Groy has a long way to go to beat out Kline, who has started at LG. I like Groy, since he plays center.

Your probably right about that. I may replace Groy with Kline.

G (4) T.Jackson, S.Mason, R.Wendell, J.Kline

3) While I like your list of LB's, I would rather have one fewer and add Chris Jones.

I like this group. I don't see Jones beating out Fletcher or Freeny. I think they both have more talent and Fletcher has "some" coverage skills that we need. But I do think Morris could be let go if we only keep 5.

ILB(3) D.Hightower, D.Fletcher, J.Morris
OLB(3) J.Mayo, J.Collins, J.Freeny

4) I really don'y think that Mason is our backup center. If Stork were injured, Wendell would move to center. Alternatively, Groy would step in.

Yep I agree but Stork looked lonely at C by himself. Mason is G.

C (1) B.Stork

- 3 or 4 RB's? and no FB / Develin?
- I find it hard to believe 3rd rounder Grissom doesn't make the 53...but then again...in BB I trust
- 3 or 4 T's? I would probably keep Flemming if were going with 4

Notes.

- Does not count suspensions.. This is the 53 after everyone is back
- 10 OL. Injury history here for Vollmer, Stork and others make BB want to carry another body. Also Andrews will not make the PS.
- 4 true WRs. This seems light and is but with Gronk/Chandler we will probably not see more then 2 WRs on the field for most of the snaps. Also there are PS options
- DL - Branch & Moore are hard cuts but Moore can make the PS.
- LB - We go light here with 5 but will see a like of nickel so it is okay
-DB McClain is the causality here cause Roberts forces himself on like Butler did last year and Ebner loses his spot to Wilson.

C (2) B.Stork, D.Andrews
G (4) T.Jackson, S.Mason, R.Groy, R.Wendell
T (4) S.Vollmer, N.Solder, M.Cannon, Cameron Flemming...Also Andrews will not make the PS...
Nobody's claiming Andrews, nor should they.

Some are choosing Boyce and some choose Tyms. Their is something to be said for youth and potential...but how long can you wait? Boyce is young at 24...Tyms is 26. Gibson is 28 and I still think he wins out because...

Gibson

An interesting fact...Gibson has more receiving yards then Amendola and is younger (Amendola is 29)...

Another useless Gibson stat...Julian Edelman has 31 more career receiving yards then him...basically even...

Toughest decisions:
Last WR, between Gibson, Boyce, Tyms, Harper
Four or five DT - went with four, cutting Jones, Vellano, and Antonio Johnson because there are so many third-down formations with a DE in the middle.
Back-up LB - very limited difference between the large group - went with Fletcher assuming he gets healthy due to his knowledge of the system and ST; Fleming & Martin for ST as well.
Last CB between Fletcher & Roberts - assume Roberts would make PS.

I think that's a real good 53...but IMO Develin is a lock.
