Terrible comparison.

Not really. Monk was the leading WR when he retired but had a bad relationship with the media. Factor in the cheating BB was caught in, the media will not vote him in right away. If you don't think Peter King and his cronies will rally against him during voting, you will be in for a shock. This story will stick with him forever. He is the Barry Bonds of the NFL.

good thing a twit like you doesn't have a vote

may you weep the day they rename the Hall of Fame Bowl to the Belichick Bowl...or maybe the Lombardi Trophy becomes the Belichick Trophy...

keep on wishing

They will only consider renaming the Lombardi after another Redskins coach: Gibbs.

or maybe danny snyder?

you're a goof

Belichick is already a better coach than Gibbs and is already threatening to outseat Vince Lombardi of the Green Bay Packers as THE best coach in NFL history

Lombardi retired as a Redskins coach. BB could only surpass Gibbs if he won a SB w/o Brady. The cheating ended that chance. He will always be considered a cheater. Gibbs is pretty much seen as a man of integrity by the entire NFL. BB, not so much.

Haha. So if BB and Brady win 5 Super Bowls, BB isn't considered a better coach than Gibbs? A coach with 5 rings as a head coach, 2 more rings as defensive coordinator won largely because of his defensive game plans, arguably the greatest defensive mind of all time, wouldn't be considered a better coach than Gibbs?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a revisionist Redskins fan who speaks for the entire NFL.

Lombardi made his mark as a Packers coach.

Gibbs hasn't done squat since LONG before Free Agency. What exactly has he done with the Redskins in Free Agency? You mean to say that Joe Gibbs is THE GREATEST COACH OF ALL TIME but can't win with Mark Brunell? Or Patrick Ramsey? Or Jason Campbell??

OVERRATED

You aren't on top any more buddy.

We are.

BB will always be known as a mediocre Browns coach who got lucky with Brady and cheating.

You're not a very good troll. You need to take some trolling lessons. You'll have plenty of time to do that during the second half this Sunday.

When your stadium empties early after being handed a beating by the skins. You will suddenly remember you are Sox fans and football isn't too important.

Also, if BB is the greatest ever, why was he fired as an NFL head coach?

During the Browns? You do know they went to Baltimore, plus there were total meltdown on the owner and BB. Beside the point, if you come here just to mock BB, do a better job because you suck at it.

You can't become the greatest if you first don't learn from your mistakes.

BB has 5 SB rings. Not all as a Head Coach but just wanted to clarify

Plus not having one of my all time favorite Running Backs hurts a bit too.

John Riggins was simply a freight train and the toughest S.O.B. I have ever seen run with the ball and this includes over some of the great all time fullbacks like Czonka ect:

Portis is a very good runner but no Riggins - There may never be another Riggins in a Redskins uniform again.

Not to forget Dexter Manley who was another monster but on the other side of the skins.

Mike Sellers is the modern version of Riggins' greatness. Check this out:

Riggins was the man.

This meeting of 2 legendary coaches is the first in the history of the NFL.

Never in history before have 2 Head Coaches met in a game to which 6 Super Bowl Rings have been won between the two (both with 3).

Joe Gibbs entered Canton in 1996 - Belichick in 20??

You know both teams will be well prepared for battle as only are expected with the resumes of the players respective leaders.

I hope everyone who attends the game gives respect to not only the best HC to ever coach the home team but also to one of the very best HCs of all time in Gibbs - The man had always had class and if he were not so involved in his family and getting burned out which made him quit in 1992 then who knows how many more SBs he would have won.

This is going to be a matchup of 2 of the greatest coaches and motivators this sport of professional football has ever seen on this sunday and this may very well be the last time these 2 meet if one decides to retire before the next meeting does come along so enjoy the game,It should be a good chess match with 2 very smart men leading the way!

Actually it's not the first time two coaches with 6 SB wins meet. In 1984 Chuck Noll (Pittsburgh 4 rings) and Tom Flores (LA Raiders 2 rings as HC) meet. Also in 1987 Noll meet Bill Walsh with Walsh having 2 SB rings at the time.

As a slight aside, the Skins offensive line of the 80s-90s has to be one of the best ever. It made some OK Running backs like Timmy Smith look like Pro Bowlers. Kudos to Gibbs for the team he built back then. They were depressingly good at the brutal stuff.

If you guys think BB is a lock for Canton after the cheating, you're in for a suprise.

It sounds more to me like you're exposing your ignorance to the competitive advantage the Patriots got through the illegal stealing of signals vs. the legal stealing of signals that is widely practiced. It's even a more ridiculous contention when you realize that it's legal to videotape the defensive signals with a camera from an "approved" location!

He gets credit for 3 rings. PERIOD.

In your mind, at least. Do the players for the Super Bowl winning NY Giants get credit for rings as well, or is it only the head coach?
