It was like a Super Bowl, not of the NFL but of the AFL -- the American Football League. It was the league championship game between the San Diego Chargers and the Boston Patriots, who later became the New England Patriots.

Little known fact: That Charger team was the 1st NFL team to systematically use steroids in its training regimen. In 1963 training camp steroids were given out like candy (or maybe "Cookies") to the players, who didn't fully understand what they were taking. The team trainer, Alvin Roy, had worked with Olympic power lifters prior to taking the job with the Chargers. So that Charger victory over the Boston Pats was "tainted".

Payback time is right! There had been a wicked snow storm day before the game and we had to drive someplace (forget where) because the game was not on TV in Boston area. Due to the road conditions had to go about 30 mph tops, talk about a bummer of a trip - it was a massacre. Think that was the game where Art Graham a receiver for the Pats (from BC) caught Lance Alworth from behind on a KO or Punt return - that was our only highlight. It is awesome to be a Pats fan today........................

Not a single player on either team was even born yet. Heck that is even before Farve was born.
