Interesting article about how tricky some positions are to to draft, especially WRs and QBs.
In reading this article, it is clear that the best pick for the Patriots would be center with a hit rate of 92%. That would go over well, eh?:rolleyes...
I would have to guess the Tepper is worst in this regard and Dan Synder used to be right up there. Who are the others and how do they rank? John Mara? Irsay? Jerry Jones?
I suspect that Kraft is in the middle of the pack, but I have to wonder about the Patriots pathetic off season and...
I have not looked as deeply as I have in previous years, but I like what I saw from Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas. Great explosion, but a bit of a stick figure. He and Pop Douglas would be quite the shifty pair.
I also like what I have seen from JJ McCarthy and I like his attitude.
If the Patriots are going to be pathetic trying to land offensive FAs, can they at least try to land some help on the defense?. Guregian raises a good point about bring back Stephon Gilmore as a mentor. Maybe bolster the D in the FA period and draft for offense.....just a thought.
I know all...
Any ideas about where he ends up?
I suspect that he will have a hard time finding a head coaching job since he would insist on being the GM also but he has a very spotty record as GM.
Have the Patriots entered an era of sensible, predictable draft picks? I suspect so, but I will miss the days of hearing this announcement: "After trading out of the first round, the Patriots have selected Bubba Bazinga from Mooseknuckle Saskatchewan, a special teams play with a background in...
I think we all know how 2019 whiffs such a Deebo, Metcalf, and Brown are doing [gawd, was painful to watch Deebo last weekend] but how about the more recent whiffs?
Jacobi Meyers certainly looked good last night; every time he caught a pass, I died a little. How is DeAndre Hopkins doing? How...
The Patriots defense is shaping up into a formidable challenge for opposing offenses. The one weakness I see is stopping the run, especially runs up the middle. The Patriots do not have that one big galoot such as Ted Washington or Vince Wilfork in the middle to clog everything up. The...
I went to the training camp again today and here are my quirky, peephole observations. I could not see much of the field, but here are my general observation. I have not read what the other scribes wrote so I don't know if I am off base.
Everyone looked hot and tired and ready for training...
Today was the first time I had been to the Patriots training camp since the old Bryant days (I have some interesting stories about Hog Hannah, etc.), and wow, the training facilities are really nice for fans. It was a delightful experience at a classy place.
Anyway, here are my impressions...
So who was advocating here that we draft this fluffball? I guess I am OK with the pink suit and white shoes, but the jewelry, whew. How did he afford all that bling before he was drafted? And the Lambo; this kid is an idiot and will run up a huge debt by the time he retires....
Of course...
Does anyone have the scoop on this? What the heck is the Roku channel and how can watch this?
NFL Draft Documentary Coming to Roku Channel

I know that this is pure fantasy since the Patriots will probably trade back and eventually pick up a middling WR flop in a later round as they usually do, but let's pretend that they stay at 14 and draft a WR. Who do you like?
Jaxon Smith Njigba has the best 3-cone of any WRs (6.57) by far...
After listening to Felger's animated rants today on 98.5 The Sports Hub today, I kept trying to imagine what the Patriots would be like with Felger as the GM. I guess the first problem is that he would wipe out the Cap space for the next 5 years or so and trade away all the draft picks...
Saw this on a mountain pass (Arthur's Pass) in New Zealand today (I am visiting my son).
Anyway, this explains so much.
Oh, and by the way, have any of you noticed how badly the Patriots have sucked since Adams left? It cannot be a coincidence ;^)
There are plenty of candidates for the douchebaggery hall of fame (like Felger), but O'Shaughnessy's column in today's Globe about Brady has got to make him the king of douchebaggery.
