Richard Seymour, when healthy, is a BEAST. He always has two blockers on him and usually still makes plays. He always carries out his asignments, hurt or healthy.

He got injured. He did not recover as hoped. He sucked it up as best he coudl and played hurt all of last year after not coming around in the offseason as he had expected.

Hopefully, he comes back 100% and has a long run at or near 100% - then, the old dominating RS will be back.

We need this guy.......if you want a shut down defense again, there is no better individual to start with then Richard Seymour.

His 2008 base salary from his rookie deal will remain at $520,000. The five-year extension starts in the 2009 season, which means he's signed through 2013. All of this has been reported already; just wanted to toss in a refresher.

*In 2009, Tuck's base salary will be $1 mil. It then jumps to $1.6 mil (2010) and $3.45 mil (2011), dips to $3.2 mil (2012) and finally closes out at $4 mil in 2013.

*The contract includes a $9 mil signing bonus. As reported before, there is $16 mil in guaranteed money, which means the signing bonus and probably some of his base salary and other bonuses.

*Speaking of other bonuses, Tuck gets a whopping $5 mil roster bonus in 2009 on the 15th day of the league year. In 2010, he gets a $1.75 mil roster bonus.
