You really are a professional troll. Oh, and seemingly a bigot to boot. You aren't doing anything here other than intentionally offending people and just pissing them off. Until now, I just thought that you were a contrarian with viewpoints that, while a little off-kilter, had some merit. Not any more. You've been exposed, sport.

Young black men preferring the likes of Atlanta, LA, and Houston to Boston is "off kilter" and bigoted? Perhaps, but it is also a fact. Or was it bigoted to suggest that young black athletes enjoy hip hop and strip clubs? Always amusing when old white men with no links to the world I am discussing weigh in. And yes, a lot of what I'm saying applies to young white men as well, although not to he same degree.

How many Dream Teams have we seen absolutely **** the bed relative to expectations?
I dunno, you tell us. What are some of your examples? And please don't use self-proclaimed dream-teams like Nnamdi Asouhma's Eagles of a few years back. Use teams that were legitimately labeled dream teams by the general public (not just their own fans or players).
I actually expect them not to win a championship next year.
As long as they stay healthy, there is no chance they don't win. Injuries can always change things, but they just added the 3rd best player in the NBA to a team that was already 4 minutes from consecutive championships.

Saying a young black man might prefer Atlanta, LA or Houston is reasonable. Not saying I agree, but it's reasonable.

However, that's not what you said. You said: "I can't imagine a worse hell for a young black star than Boston."

You're desperately trying to change what you wrote and hope no one notices. At least own your own statement.

Nope, nice try. More trolling. Not biting. And , hopefully, no one else will either. You can be as insulting as you want. Oh, and your comment about "old white men with no links to the world (you) are discussing" is presumptuous and ignorant enough to be laughable. You have no knowledge of my, or anyone else's, experiences in that area. I also don't know anything about your experiences in that area. But, my guess is that you've spent far more time on the Internet in mommy's basement than you have enjoying hip hop and strip clubs. As I stated before, your gig is up. Bye, bye honey pie...

Still hurts, we coulda been a contenda coulda been somebody...oh well Jaylen Brown will be a stud in a few years.

I mean it is a modern American city in the 21st century. No, it is not really hell to be a millionaire black guy in Boston. Did I really need to explain the hyperbole? As a city, I think it is way, way down the list of desirable locales for most young single black athletes. I mean, what are the draws?

Considering how everybody in this thread interpreted your remark the same way, you really have no right condescending to anyone for (what you claim is) misunderstanding what you wrote.

So yeah, you really did need to explain the hyperbole (even though what you're really trying to do is walk back the silly statement).

I keep my mouth shut when I don't know what I'm talking about. For example, you won't find me weighing in on the federal appellate court procedure thread. You would be wise to follow my example.

Who made this about race?

Go swallow some oil

My post had nothing to do with the perception of some that Boston is a racist city. Boston has no hip hop or strip club scene, or even real club scene. It has terrible weather. black stars in other industries don't live there. The girls are not in the same league as Miami, Atlanta or LA. What's for a single black man to like again?
Ohhh okay, see we all thought you were saying that Boston was racist, but really you were just saying you were racist.

Lol they are already burning his jersey in OKC. His legacy is trashed.

As Lebron has shown, it doesn't take the Lord of Light to resurrect one's legacy.

LeBron was pretty much the league's established "villain" after going to Miami. I would say that legacy had remained with him up until he went back to Cleveland, but was still a bit of a "stain". He'll now be perceived as a god in Cleveland forever now after winning a title for them.

I guess Durant saw how everyone hated on LeBron and said "that looked enjoyable, I think I'll do that."

No, actually you don't. You very often chime in on topics which, based upon your input, seem beyond the scope of your knowledge and/or experience. Before you ask me to cite one, I'd suggest you just name one.

The Warriors are gonna be a Pleasure to watch, next Year.

Sit back and enjoy.
I'm not sure. This doesn't really do much to help them in the post, especially not after Cleveland murdered them inside with Thompson and then Love in Game 7.

I don't begrudge Durant chasing a ring. He's got money, he's got stats but what he doesn't have is a ring. If he thinks this is the best situation to do it, then so be it. If however, the Spurs are ever able to upgrade at PG, good luck GSW.

Then he's part basketball savant, part sadomasochist. He royally f-ed up in my opinion. He didn't need t come here, he just couldn't go there of all places. Those rings, if he wins any, will be extremely hollow.

It is an undesirable place. The Patriots draw is purely football-related.

Bull. Go tell that to Hanley. Or Papi. Or Mookie. Or any of the Pats.

That's a tired argument. Go ask Pierce. Isaiah. Garnett. Perkins. Those are just some.
