Brady Helping Celtics Recruit Kevin Durant

The Warriors are gonna be a Pleasure to watch, next Year.

Sit back and enjoy.
Naaaaah....this really blows, there was only so many contenders to begin with and we just lost another. KD in BOS would have been awesome. He was allegedly very very close to coming here.

Meanwhile, the Celts ~ heard'f'm?? ~ are in a position where ~ in 2 Years ~ Thomas could be our Sixth most talented Player, after we get one fleecing Brooklyn and sign ~ Oh I don't know ~ Durant???

Dynasty??? No.

Empire.

The Celtics are going to make some noise within the next few years with or without Durrant. Danny has done a good job managing the cap and acquiring draft picks.

Got no Problem with Durant signing with OakLand for a 1 Year Deal. They could make History.

Why not go for it?? We're still a Year away, anyway. Why piss and moan about it?

Don't y'all think that there's a reason why he signed a 1 Year Deal?

This is a Deion Sanders Move...with a Pfepfermint Twist.

The CowBoys were aging...The Celts are not.

I smell a Prelude To Empire, Boys.

He signed a one year deal to maximize his earnings. It's a max level contract, the max changes each year to adjust to the salary cap (so if he signs four years now, he'll lose out on a LOT of money like 30-40mill). This isn't a trial of sorts. He'll wait like two seasons until the huge salary cap spike is over and will sign long term.

Even after today's signing, I don't think Golden State is going to be in the mood to "make history" next year. They tried it once and it didn't work. They were definitely gassed by the playoffs. They won't go all out next year during the regular season like they did this year.

How much more offense can GSW really get though? It seems like you hit diminishing returns at some point. KD is a very creative and efficient scorer though so maybe he can generate offense when teams take away Curry (like Kyrie did).

It would have been fun but i like what the Cs are building and the talent in the draft next year is bananas. Obviously, Durant has not sniffed a title despite being on a number of talented teams.

To take in Durant, they lose Ezeli, Bogut, and Barnes, at least. The bench is weakened for sure unless they find some low money ring-chasers. Not that they won't be good and won't be fun to watch, scoring 120 every game, but I am hoping that the loss of depth has an impact.

It was a ***** move ... but that article ... please with that **** ...

you went for the ring dude ... Man up and say it .......

Complete ***** move. Duncan is leaning towards retirement out of the blue when it was reported earlier he was considering coming back. He is a beta loser, who I hope gets booed mercilessly and never sets foot in Boston outside of playing games.

There is nothing good for the NBA with this move. Nothing. It will drive fans away. It's already driving players who may have been on the fence (Duncan).

Way to go loser boy.

Every teams' fanbase(other than GS) is hating hard on this move and I have no clue why. Honestly, if the Patriots signed JJ Watt, Antonio Brown, Luke Kuechly overnight I would love it and wouldn't give a damn what the other fans thought. Obviously in the NFL you can't form super teams , but either way I do not understand all the hate for Durant the guy wants a ring. The season hasn't even started either. GS might actually be weaker as well seeing how they're gonna have to diminish their bench to some degree.

If any of you would turn down the highest probability of a ring, you're stupid.

Championships are one thing but cementing a legacy is another. If Butler takes more money to go somewhere else he'll regret it for the rest of his life. If he stays in NE he's a hero for forever. Until he dies he'll get recognized walking down the street or, at least, as he ages when people learn his name. Fathers will want their daughters to date him, people will want him to pitch stuff, bored middle-aged ****olds will want him to screw their chubby wives.

Yeah everyone in the NBA at Durant's level is going to be famous - but to be beloved by an entire region for the rest of his life in a way that only Boston does? A ring is worth less than that.

************ people still get in fist fights over Ted Williams back home and that guy is chilling in the head freezer next to Walt Disney.

They're going to be one hell of a team and might break or tie that regular season record from last season (unless they sacrifice several games towards the end of the season by resting the stars).

With that being said, it's a pretty lame move by Durant and also a bit shameless by the Warriors.

Prediction: Like every other dream team in every other sport they will not win a championship next year.
