Yeah, that was definitely uh something else lol. Reminds me of the Rondo game, now THAT was crazy. I know people don't like him but, he was one tough mofo nobody can ever take that away from him.

I will say till my deathbed that Rondo is an alien life form. Big eyes, candy corn shaped head, skinny neck. Long ass ET fingers...and a personality that is completely awkward and a downright weird dude.

I will say that lebron has two more years of prime basketball left. He has logged alot of minutes. 7 nba finals's alot of grind on the body.
Woah, slow down there, buddy. 'Bron has more than two years of prime basketball left, judging by what I saw this season. He has shown zero signs of slowing down and, while I understand age catches up to every player, let's not be so quick to put a fork in this one. He'll play at an elite level for at least 4-5 more years, assuming he wants to play that long. He may not want to risk looking like Kobe did the past 2 1/2 seasons.

I agree that Wade and Bosh did not have a great series.

Thats the thing. No question that LeBron is a HoF player but he does have these strange behavioral episodes. That series was an example. Last night in the 4th qtr was another one. With that said he has had moments of rising to the occasion and dominating when the team needed him to. Hes a tough cat to figure out.
Whilst I respect LeBron for his amazing athleticism, I have a real problem with him being branded King James. He's not even close to being basketball's king.

Yeah, it's definitely rubbing him wrong when people say Curry is the best in the league (which I agree with).

Funny things happen to NBAers when they hit their early 3os. Bird, MJ, Jabbar, Duncan, Kobe, Magic, etc all were still very, very good players at 33, 34 and 35 but they were not as good as they were at 30.

LeBron has absolutely slowed down physically but that does not mean he is not as good of a player. He should be still very good at 34 but PP136 absolutely has historical data to support his opinion.

Hes not. The NBA marketing wonks packaged and marketed him as such.

Hes a 1st ballot HoFer but I can't put him in the top 15 all time...

You can blame that on the media. James was about 16 years old when he received the nickname. Let's not forget that ESPN was showing his HIGH SCHOOL games on its network when he was a teenager. The guy had a shoe deal with Nike before he even took a jumper on an actual NBA court. The hype was beyond insane, and he's done a decent job of living up to it. I couldn't imagine that kind of pressure, nor would I want it.

He took a totally irrelevant Cleveland team and turned them around, pretty much single-handedly. Once he left, they sucked so badly that they had the league's worst record again without him. When he returned, they have made the finals both years.

I won't argue that the guy hasn't received some preferential treatment from the refs, and that he's used that to his advantage at times. That said, the NBA is the closest thing out there to WWE style wrestling, so they've allowed it to continue. That's probably on them, in my opinion.

Cavs practically slept walked through the regular season, ignore it.
They played no one in post season....GS waking up again.....

One game. I have a feeling everyone says GS is a bunch of big time chokers when Cavs win game 2.

How are they going to hid Love and Irving?

The trait of great of players is that they made the players around them better ...

LeBron has never done that ... and never will.

I agree ... not even close .. he's a stat machine ... no more and no less.

bron is absolutely in top 10 for his bulk stats, mvps, championship appearances, and 2 rings. with few more ring bron is no doubt top 5.

Out of curiosity, do you use the same criteria to appraise Peyton Manning?

Russell
Chamberlain
Jabbar
Bird
Magic
Jordan
Robertson
Shaq
Bryant
Olajuwon
Duncan

That's 11 ahead of James, right there, just off the top of my head. Dr. J. is another I'd consider as a possibility. After that, I'd have to start breaking things down more

Kobe is not ahead of LeBron. Kobe is great but, I'd easily take LeBron any day. Much more of a team player and a lot more efficient scorer.

Titles are important.

In no order...

LBJ is just on the outside looking in.

Russell
MJ
Jabbar
Bird
Magic
Baylor
Chamberlain
Hakeem
Kobe
Shaq
Moses Malone
Big O
Duncan

He's better than West, Karl Malone. Barkley, Hondo etc.

Respect. And half the leadership ability and no killer instinct like Kobe. I'm taking Kobe for more intangibles and a proven winning pedigree.
