it must be nice sleeping with gisele every night.

She can take a nothing day and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile... you know...

...she might just make it after all. ;)

I always knew that, even if I was not the most beautiful girl, I’d be the most energetic and hard-working,” the model said. “If you want to know the truth, that’s the reason for my success.

Sounds like she and Tom might have some similar traits.

"Gisele, which magazine cover is your favorite?"
"The next one."

Interesting article and, in a technical sense, well written. But what's with the barely contained, man-do-the-rich-love-themselves-or-what sneer from the reporter? Curiously, while he cites from the get go how the modeling business is awash in cruel and relentless judging, he condescendingly snickers at several of her remarks as if it's necessary to remind you he's smart enough to see that Gisele is ultimately some ultra-wealthy ding bat we're all to stupid to see through. Maybe it's true that the NYT hates all rich who don't hate themselves. I wouldn't have agreed with that for the most part until reading this piece. It's like the reporter is pissed he couldn't prove Gisele is another self absorbed diva. She can't just be the driven, amped up beauty who grabbed hold of her life and insisted on living it. There must be some kind of essential flaw, the reporter seems infer, and we'd be all the luckier if we could figure out exactly what it is.

I've never understood people that have a disdain for "The Rich". It's almost as if they think no one should be rich.

There's rich, middle and poor....that's just the way it is. No big deal

Brady gets mentioned in passing. Her daily income is $128K.

Actually, her relationship with Brady is woven throughout the article regarding everything from diet to the aftermath of SB XLVI. The article refers to him as "her husband," so a word search doesn't turn up his name more than a couple of times.

But in the final analysis, yes, this article was about her, whose story is at least as remarkable as her husband's, probably more so when we consider that she is a global Brand with a net worth of $300 million who is making around $50 million in her "year off" after being discovered in a mini-mall in a small town in Brazil, wearing hand-me-downs from her sisters.

This is one of the most revealing articles that have been written about her and it shows the similarities between herself and Brady...hard work, not necessarily being the ideal physical specimen in a profession that is innately physical, and the willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get a job done.

I didn't read that resentment into the article at all, but you are entitled to your opinion.

Agree 100%….I read a fact based piece with little if any op-ed by the writer. In fact, the author offered little depth on anything except her undeniable positivity.

Reminds me of a quote (to note the difference in the 2 viewpoints)
It's not the years in life, but the life in years.
TB & Giselle seem to be working on both, but mostly the 2nd part.
