It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Washington seems like a good signing but in reality whoever can stretch the field will have some big time opportunities. 2 TE sets (had hopes of Chandler providing this last season), Dion Lewis (fantastic surprise of the 2015 season), 2 outstanding slots (hopefully Amendola stays) and a Scarnecchia coached O line (No more head bobbing triggers?) sounds like a juicy season and if one of the current or future receivers can provide a downfield stretch ........wow.
Will it be Washington, Dobson, Tyms.......someone else????
I absolutely love this signing. Of course, he probably will be cut in training camp. But, Nate really could be a difference maker on this team.
Why so lukewarm? Nearly 700 yards on an awful team, solid vet, looking to him as, what, a 4th option who could bring something to the table that others receivers don't have?50/50 he makes the team. Let's not get too excited folks.
Washington is more like Brandon Lloyd than LaFell. He doesn't need to be a true burner, he just needs to be 2014 LaFell - a legitimate threat middle-deep outside the numbers consistently.
I think it's a good pickup and I like him. However hes 33, not really a special teams player and they may pick up 1-2 WRs in the draft that they fall in love with and would rather keep them than Nate. Why so lukewarm? No guarantees, but that feels a lot better than a 50% shot to me.
Glad Washington was signed.
Have a decent looking WR group
#1 Edelman #2 Hogan #3 Amendola/Washington #4 Amendola/Washington #5 Martin #6 Slater
You people that still think Dobson is an option make me laugh. Hes a bust move on. Hes only on the team cause he's cheap and so there is someone to throw to in preseason
The Martin and Harper haters also need to realise neither of them are going anywhere for a couple years. Martin has potential and is a fine WR4/WR5. Harper is a contingency plan and a just in case needed slot WR. Yes he will probably land on the practice squad, but he isn't going anywhere.

Depending on how things shake out with rookies Martin is almost assured of making the team.WR Locks: Edelman, Hogan
Amendola is a lock depending on restructure obviously.
Then u have Washington, Martin, maybe Dobson for the final one or two.
Draft a WR and the above 3 are battling for one spot possibly. And a possibility that all 3 are gone.
Don't really disagree with most of that, but I think if you were setting odds in Vegas Washington making the team would be better (well, "worse" I guess, if you were betting on him making the team) than even money.I agree on the odds, because it's always a question mark bringing receivers onto this team, but to me the value is in the competition. The more solid receivers you have competing for the spots, the better your chances of cutting a guy because the guy above him is so good, rather than because the guy you're cutting is so bad. Even if Washington doesn't make the team, I feel good that it'll be because Amendola, Martin, Dobson (ehhh... maybe not), or a rookie have EARNED a spot by beating him out.
You people who list Slater as a WR make me laugh.Glad Washington was signed.

He's a burner, and the safeties have to respect his speed. That said, you have to be able to catch the ball to be a receiver. You people who list Slater as a WR make me laugh.

Yeah, Bill Belichick is hysterical. www.patriots.com/team/players/roster/matthew…You people who list Slater as a WR make me laugh.
