Brandon LaFell, Scott Chandler Released

This team is heading in the right direction, Cannon and Dobson will soon make their exit.

Given his cap hit very disappointing that Cannon wasn't cut. He is not worth close to a $5m cap hit. Tender Waddle who is a RFA and will cost a lot less.

Cannon will account for almost as much as Vollmer's inregards to a cap hit

Yeah I also think L. Waddle is better than Cannon and he should be one more year removed from his previous injury. I don't get the love affair with Cannon unless they think Dante Scar can get blood from a stone.

I thought maybe LaFell could come back under a new deal, but his farewell tweet was an obituary.

I'm glad Scott Chandler is gone because his name confuses me with Chandler
Jones who I most defiantly do not want gone.

Both Chandler and LaFell were major disappointments last year. Hoping Dobson can step up next year but won't hold my breath on that lol

Surprised we haven't had the "I can't stand it any more!" post yet....
We need someone with the speed of a cat and smart enough to stay away from weed.
All it takes is enough intelligence to stay away from weed two weeks a year...

If Pats were to go for an older guy on 1 year, i'd be all in on Boldin.. Still put up 70 rec for 800 yards in that suckfest that was SF.

Somehow, even though he is in the NCAA now, Jim Harbaugh would figure out a way with his brother to prevent the Patriots from getting Boldin.

I know you're kidding but Jim and TB12 are Michigan buddies, Jim would have no problem with the Patriots winning.

Control what you can control!

You really don't know what to make of a rapidly changing situation at work now. You shift from being fine with the instability to freaked out and back to okay in a matter of minutes. Although these extreme mood changes may be mildly confusing to you, your emotional intensity can be truly disconcerting to others. Consequently, you're wise to keep your feelings to yourself until they settle down. Channel your passion into your art and your clarity will soon return.

Dude is as good as gone.

Uh that's what I said. But cutting Cannon shouldnt be based on if they think they can re-sign a RFA. Cannon needs to be cut or restructure his deal.
Sorry, I should have read more carefully.

I don't think that Cannon should be restructure until we know who would be the potential replacement. That would drive what the team would be willing to pay for Cannon, if anything.

They cut LaFell, told Tyms and Gibson that they won't be returning, and apparently said something to Dobson that has made him question his future. I can't help but think that Belichick has two clear moves in mind, because at this point he's not even trying to keep guys around as depth. He's making a conscious effort to start over (or at least close to it) among those outside receivers.

I'm pretty sure the 2nd one is some random app he has that tweets daily motivational stuff

Big coincidence though

Could just be a commitment to revamp and big neon sign to FAs: "JOBS AVAILABLE--APPLY WITHIN"

I wonder if Dobson + Amendola will be a second wave of WR cuts.

He's been doing this for a long time, he's into astrology and constantly posts astrological tweets, it has nothing to do with his status on the team.

Brandon Gibson looks like he is gone

Brandon Lewis Gibson ‎@Bgibson04
Thankful for the opportunity to learn from one of the best to ever do it. I'm appreciative of the time spent
