Where does this loss rank for you in terms of painfulness (Brady era)

blowing the 2006 title game was worse.

we would of easily defeated rex ( grossman's ) bears...obviously choking away the undefeated season is number 1
This. The SB games, 2006 AFCCG, the Jets game...this one honestly doesn't hurt as bad to me, if only because that Broncos defense flat-out won the game, and a missed extra point and some stupid decisions in the 4th ultimately cost them.

If they played a great game and lost on a fluke I'd have been pissed. But this team and the coaches made too many mistakes to be too pissed at the loss.

That said I never want to see the Pats in another playoff game at Mile High. God I hate that stadium.

How can you already be over it when even with injuries, majority of the people still think we would win this game? Remember denver was the underdog...

Can't speak for anyone else, but even though I had high expectations, they were lowered pretty quickly after the game started when I saw how putrid the Oline looked. I knew it would end up being either a loss, or a close last minute win.

Either way, the same fate that awaits Denver in 2 weeks would have awaited us as well.

These are mine. This comes in 7th in my opinion.

2007 SB
2011 SB
2006 vs Colts AFC Champ
2010 vs Jets Div Rd
2012 vs Ravens AFC Champ
2005 vs Broncos(wanted 3 peat) Div Rd

Great list. I would put 2005 Broncos above 2010 Jets and 2012 Ravens because I feel like the officials tilted that game, whereas we just got beaten fair and square in the other 2. 2006 Colts and 2011 SB is a tough call. On the one hand, 2006 Colts was worse because of the comeback, the terrible calls, and because it was Peyton/Dungy. On the other, 2011 was a loss fair and square, but it was almost like reliving the horror of 2007 all over again.

For me this one doesn't sting at all.

I'm sad but it doesn't sting for me. We were playing from behind all day and we still almost pulled through at the very end. With how out o-line played it's crazy we were even in the game.

Plus I don't think we could beat Carolina, I'd rather lose in the AFCCG then the Super Bowl, because now we can watch Denver get spanked again like they did against Seattle a couple years ago lmao.

I knew it was going to be a long day when we elected to recieve, manning first td pass and gosts missed xp

LOL! How unlucky is Denver? They've beaten us (their biggest current rival) in 2 out of the last 3 AFCCGs, only to go on to face a beast of a team that looks unstoppable two weeks later. They went from jubilation to depression in the span of two weeks last time, and could very well succumb to the same fate this year as well.

Meanwhile, sandwiched between those two seasons is a Patriots SB victory.

Not that high - but winning a SB last year has a lot to do with that.

Disappointed we lost obviously. But not as crushed as the SB losses.

Denvers defense kicked our butts. Pure and simple. Manning was pitiful for the game.

Cannon was not fast enough, the line was a shambled mess the entire game.

But, the one thing I am sure of is Denver will be crushed by the Panthers! Absolutely destroyed!

A Patriot sandwich on burnt Bronco toast.

Of course I wanted the Pats to win, but this one doesn't even make my list. With the injuries they had it was remarkable that they made it this far.

Ranking in tiers

Worst Ever, Will Never Be Topped

2007 Giants

"NOT AGAIN"
2011 Giants

WE ****ING HAD THEM
2006 Colts

Gut Wrenching Shockers
2010 Jets
2011 Ravens

"This should have been in Foxboro"
2015 Broncos

Considerably flawed Pats teams, hurts but you can logically process it
2005 Broncos
2013 Broncos
2009 Ravens
An excellent gut check. However, we are pretty lucky to have been in all these games in the last 15 years. We could be the Jets, Bills or Miami, who (except for the two Jets losses in the AFCCGs) would have a blank screen here.

This is the question I've been struggling with. Would I rather lose in the AFCCG or the Super Bowl? In previous years, I was convinced I'd rather lose in the AFCCG, just because of the pain of the 2 SB losses to the Giants.

However, this year, I feel like I probably would rather lose in the SB. I think that's mainly due to winning last year, so there wouldn't be as much pressure this year. Plus Brady would still be 4-3 in Super Bowls so I don't think another SB loss would have hurt his legacy at all.

I'm less disappointed with this loss or a loss to the Panthers than I am with missing out on the opportunity to see Roger Goodell hand the trophy to the Patriots. That would have been delicious.

Not sure this was worst loss of the season, let alone all time. Seeing the OL get abused so often, you just accept that the better team won. There are frustrating aspects of the game but I'll move on. There is a what if feeling on what would happen without all the injuries. It's a good time to revisit the 3 game to glory bluray

It's like the end of the movie 'The Truman Show'

when it was over it was like 'ok, what else is on?'

This was not the worst because we didn't deserve to win. If we had won yesterday it was because we stole a victory despite being outplayed. I mean it still sucks the day after but I'll have moved on shortly enough.

We blew our chance for HFA and we sucked yesterday. There was almost no heart break or shock that I felt afterward. Felt sort of like the 2013 AFCCG against Denver.

This loss is a distant 3rd behind the infamous 4th down fail vs Indy, and the perfect season Eli prayer.

What hurts the most is not seeing that clown Goddell have to hand that trophy to us. Was reallllllly looking forward to that.

It doesn't rank that high for me. It was winnable but at the same time it was on the road against a very good defense. The Jets, Ravens and Super Bowl losses are all much worse.

This, and for me, the Pats still had another season going to the AFCCG, potentially coming within a couple plays of winning it, which most teams don't get and they just won a Super Bowl less than 12 months ago. We got it pretty good.

All of them hurts the same. Yesterday game hurts the most because it just happen. The others is old they are not on my mind today but yesterday is.
