OT Mort has stage 4 throat Cancer

****ing cancer sucks.....sending prayers and well wishes to him and his family.

I wish him well.

Not hard to separate this from his job.

That is horrible. Best wishes to him for a full recovery.

studies show 11 out of 12 people can be fully recovered from this. get well mort!

This is a 1,000,000 times more serious than anything out of Deflategate. I can't do anything other than give him all my thoughts and prayers.

I do wish him well and most certainly wouldn't wish throat cancer on anyone regardless of what I think of him

I don't wish death/cancer on him, but I don't suddenly care all that much about him either. There's plenty of people who aren't douchebags who have cancer that we don't have threads about. Rather see a David Bowie thread.

I mercilessly trolled him on twitter until I got blocked (nothing profane, just wise-ass remarks to every post), but this is horrible news. I truly hope that he has a full recovery.

This is bigger than sports. Cancer sucks and is a horrible way for anyone to go. You don't have to wish him luck or well but you also don't have to add in this post. Simply ignore the thread.

And there is a Bowie thread in the Pub.

TBH I don't really give a **** about anyone who I don't personally know or plays for a Boston sports team so I understand where you're coming from. Best to just leave it be though

Awful, good luck to him and his family. Hopefully he'll beat it.

I hope he uses his media presence to create more awareness for this cancer and all other types. As far as we've come with cancer treatment and research, we still have a very long way to go.

Hope for the best outcome.

Normally, something that would prevent Mort from spreading his filth would be a positive.. Sadly, this doesn't fall into that category. I hope he has a full recovery, and if not, that his suffering is brief.

There was a David Bowie thread. We've lost a lot of great ones in the past couple of years. Robin Williams stills hurts.

You don't give a **** about anyone unless you know them? Most people are decent humans at their core. This is a sad statement.

Wish him and his family well. I had a good friend that passed last year after being diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer. He lived 3 months. He never smoked or used any tobacco products. Prior to the diagnosis, he was very active. we went running everyday up til about 2 years ago.

I opened this thread expecting the worst, but got the best. I like most of us will never forgive him for his part in the Brady smear. But I wish him well in his fight against cancer. I want him at 100% when he goes to testify and be deposed in Brady's defamation suit (I hope).

BTW- At least to this part of the thread, we have proven to be a pretty classy group of fans. Happy to be one of you
