Matt Taibbi is a rabid Patriots fan.

Hearing Zo's voice and blabber in highlights and 3 games to glory etc, I really wish Krafts had made a better choice for voice of the Pats.
There is nothing wrong with this voice. He is a fan and I love the craziness he brings. I just don't want to read his twitter feed though.

I also miss Gil and Geno, but Zo and Sochi have kind of grown on me. I laughed to myself all day after the Pittsburgh game imagining Mike Tomlin, trying to win a serious football game, and having to listen to the machinations of Zo. As someone said at the time, you are trying to call the play and you hear "Unicorns and show ponies!" or "Josie's on a vacation far away..." in your ear. At some point someone clued Zo in that his feed was in the Pittsburgh coaches' ears, and he even mentioned it. Hahaha, no wonder Tomlin was so steamed. That could be in a movie! I am glad for Zo that he has been so successful. He seems like a nice guy, is a great supporter of the Pats and has done pretty well for himself considering he was "only" a back up QB in the NFL.

Run hot and cold on Zolak, somedays I admire his knowledge other days he sounds like an idiot.. he is too easily influenced by his cohosts, who always "know" more than he does..

He was at his best when he described the duties of a back up QB preparing game balls, he was at his worse when he failed to ask Hoyer, Cassell, Mallett etc. if they ever witnessed and impropriety..

Many days I find myself listening to my IPOD.. seeking out the lowest common denominator or listening to the refrain about the Red Sox Philosophy gets very boring..

Something about Sochi's delivery bugs me. He comes across as kind of lightweight and oratorical (in an announcer's sense). I don't mind Zo all that much but I'm already sick and tired of hearing that stupid "Josie" song at every game. It feels like it's being forced upon us as a Patriots fan anthem and the lyrics are about as non-football-like as you can get. Is there anything significant behind Zolak liking that song so much?

Scott Zolak has an incredibly irritating voice which, at times, is indecipherable.

Zolak is also the guy who called it "game over" when the Ravens went up by 14 the second time in the playoff game last year.

Obsession, fixation no idea.. it is stupid theme...

They should get rid of him and Socci. The latter just doesn't have a distinctive enough voice for the job. I guessed I'm spoiled listening to Gil's golden pipes for all those years but you gotta get a guy that has more of a booming, commanding voice for football.

Zo is a sideshow freak that somehow broke into color commentating.

Sochi....bland professional who makes your accountant seem like James Bond
Zolak....the opinionated, obnoxious guy you never want to sit next to at a dinner party (unless of course he's telling Patriot stories)

"Josie" >>>>Shipping out to Boston, or whatever crap Dropkick Murphys play.

Oh, I disagree with that. At least the Dropkick Murphys tunes rock. "Josie" is a whiny teeny bop tune glorifying relationship codependency (as far as I can make out).

Sochi and Zolak...
