  • The Pats winning games with this O Line shuffle is the story of the year in the NFL, IMHO. Who else does this?!
  • Is this the best interior line depth in Pats history?
  • I wonder how sick the team is with this bug that's going around.
  • LOL at Baltimore. Wow. Talk about wheels falling off. That's exactly the kind of game that would go their way in the past, with a long bomb .
  • Look at the remaining Denver and KC schedules and dream a little about what might happen there.
  • The Lions are the anti-Pats. Their innovation on how to give away games should be studied in business schools. At times they fail, like yesterday, because they don't get any cooperation from the opponent, but not often.

I thought of broaching this exact thought but then thought better of it, considering the near suicidal responses here to Edelman's injury. We know Collins has a severe case of flu. Brady seemed a little under the weather post game, if you cared to notice.

This might play out like 2004. Let Cincy go 15-1 and get the top seed. I'd like to get a bye which we can do with the 2 seed. Win over Denver practically will clinch it. Not concerned about 16-0. Just a 5th ring.

I'm looking at this D and how resilient the team is showing themselves to be in the face of all these injuries, and thinking about next season, whose under contract and getting the injured players back. I'm starting to think we are setting the bar too low. Let's aim for 38-0.

It would be magnificent if the Belichick-Brady Patriots end up being the Dynasty of the 00's and 10's. I know there are some that view the Belichick-Brady Patriot Dynasty encompassing 2001-Present. Whichever perspective one subscribes to, there is only one conclusion. It's the greatest run of success in NFL history. Especially when considering the salary cap. When it's all said and done, no one will be able to take anything away from this era's Patriots.

What a curiosity. Just a few weeks, ago, one BAL writer was threatening that the team might/would go on a run and meet the NEP in the play-offs; fix them for good. FYI: this was amidst the "deflategate" hoax that was (and still is) unraveling in the media, as eyes turned to the perpetrators and co-conspirators (i.e. IND & BAL). And this was a reaction to the karma bit that was being thrown at these two...as they got off to miserable starts, making their teams most certainly not appear as the "almost SB Champions" that they would have NFL fans believe they are.

When it's all said and done, no one will be able to take away any of this era's Patriots.

All of the false claims fall away, as the NEP continue to strive for excellence. That their opposition- whose cheating index is worst in the league -throws darts only comes back on them. Take IND. People are revisiting the whole "Luckgate" fiasco and being reminded that they threw a whole season. Now, they have no credibility. :p

Meanwhile, the NEP- despite countless key injuries -execute another win and another win and...the NEP beat goes on.

He downright looked like crap.

Well, their reg season records are 14-2, 13-3, 12-4, 12-4, 12-4 and 9-0. 5 division titles, 2 AFC Champ 2 SB, 1 SB win 7-4 playoff record.

They have a big lead. One more Sb ought to do it.

So, our interior line is Mason, Andrews and Stork

Our backups (depth) are Kline and Jackson. So, you're saying that Kline and Jackson are the best depth we've ever had?

Both interior lines, together: OL and DL. I don't remember this many highly qualified players, in sum. Probably shouldn't have used the word "depth." Really was referring to the roughly 10 guys.

Hard to say really, since I can't remember a recent team who's had it's interior OL depth tested this much through 9 games. There was one year where we were on our 4th string center for a few games (Nick McDonald, maybe?), but that's the best example I can think of.

2011. UDFA Nick McDonald was not only our fourth starting center, he was freshly promoted from the practice squad and not only making his first NFL start he was playing in his first NFL regular season game. He did have eight preseason game appearances previously, all with the Packers. Did well. One of Scar's many successes.

Glad my memory hasn't completely abandoned me!

I appreciate the post and liked it. However, let's not brag about O-line depth...at least now. A few weeks, ago, there was speculation about who would get released and having such a good problem. The next game, the injuries started adding up.

And, to be clear, to have a second year center kick out to play tackle, and do it well enough that the team could win a game, is part of what I'm in awe about.

I also don't recall having this kind of interior DL depth, ever. There are four guys who play T that are playmakers, and all of them are getting better each game.

When I sit back and wonder if it was finished at KC last year, I disgust myself. Since BB took over, this team never fails to surprise.

I have to disagree here...I am most definitely concerned with 19-0 just as much as another SB

If our chances to win the SB were at 60% without 16-0 but at 50% with 16-0 I'll take the latter

Winning the SB is paramount, but there's a SB winner every year, I hope if we get to 14-0 bill keeps the pedal to the metal and let the chips fall where they may

Both he, Brady, and us the fans deserve 19-0 after the way it slipped through last time, and for having to put up with the ******** that was spygate and deflategate

And the idiot commish and other teams/fans would hate nothing more than to see the patriots achieve this feat

My prediction last season was for the NEP to achieve two amazing milestones in the last three years of Brady's and possibly BBs careers:
1. Win three straight super bowls which has never been done before and were a third of the way there
2. Go 19-0 in one of those three seasons

And let the jealousy and lamented moans of "cheaters" fall exactly where they belong: the realm of losers

You forgot Wendell.
