I had plantar fasciitis a few years ago...I got an insert for my shoes/sneakers that made it go away immediately.

so sick of the "woe is me!" Peytie Pooch excuse factory. Just go away you friggin' sexual assault artist with a heart of cardboard.
I have it. It only happens when I run more than a mile a day for a month. Then it'll come up, take a week off of running but it won't affect me. Can't see how it affects him throwing he's never running like other athletes. Just an excuse.

Ty Law tore his and went on IR. PM has a tear. Did you guys have a tear?

Trying to understand the degrees of severity and how it may, ahem impact PM's performance.

Sad he's going out this way. I've enjoyed the losing but, it's tough to see even you're greatest enemy go down like this. Hope Brady doesn't stick around playing that badly.

I don't feel bad for him at all. The only reason he kept playing was for records and he has been putting himself above the best interests of his team the past two seasons. He brought this on himself by insisting upon playing long past the point of being a good QB.

I thought Peyton was done the year he had neck surgery.
I also thought he was done after last years playoff loss.
I am certain he is NOT a cat so he cannot have 9 lives...

I see that a Denver sports radio host thinks the injury "is from the land of make believe" and is a phony excuse for Manning's crappy play.

I believe it. Manning, at this point, needs everything to be right in order to get anything on his throws. Last two weeks, he's regressed badly, and he didn't have much left to start with.

I don't think it's an "excuse," just the end of a pretty amazing career.
At this point, that has always been the point with him.

Ty Law's was a lisfranc injury, wasn't it? That's a different injury which is pretty much always a season-ender, unless Law also had a separate planar fascia injury that I'm not remembering.

That said, I'm not claiming that Manning should be able to play through this or anything. In his physical state, he's already operating with a near-zero margin for error, so it makes sense that any kind of injury affecting his mechanics in any way would render him pretty much useless. To the contrary, my position is more that he shouldn't have been playing yesterday at all if he was dealing with a significant injury. Record-chasing to the detriment of your team is always ugly, but especially so when they're in the running for a bye.

What happens if Manning doesn't play again in the regular season and is stuck on 186 wins, tied with Favre?

Knowing the way he is, I'll be the Broncos would put him in for one snap to start the game the last day of the season, so he would be the starting QB of record and get credited with a win.

If not, though, would he come back next year to get one more win?

Never put anything past Manning when it comes to meaningless records.

I had plantar fasciitis about 10 years ago, discovered these and they worked like a charm. Unfortunately it came back, but this time these aren't working as well.

Let the dislikes or disagrees flow but I call ********

Watch the footage from that game, he is showing absolutely no problems with either foot. This is a cover for his sh.try play.

It won't matter, Brady will own that record soon enough and no one careers about second place.

They are going to sit Manning this week and play him against the Pats. His arm might get the rest it needs like against the Packers after the bye week. I'm kind of concerned.

When did Peeyton's injuries start to come out?

Because he looked equally as bad against the Ravens in the first game of the year (pick-6), Chiefs week 2 (pick-6), Raiders & Vikings (2 INTs in each of those games) and especially the Browns game (3 INTs including a pick 6)

If he wasn't as injured as they claim he was yesterday, then he probably throws 3 INTs to KC instead of 4.

He really should have retired after the divisional round in 2014 but, alas, he had records to break. He may be injured but, even before he really hit the ****ter, he looked like a man who has met his match against Father Time. Hopefully he plays against us in a couple of weeks because it would be cool to embarrass him one last time before he calls it a career.

Gary Kubiak announced Peyton Manning will miss this week's game with a foot injury. Pats visit Denver in 13 days.

Nope. You are right...I mixed up the two injuries.

Yea I've never had the injury. If its his lead foot and is very painful then I can understand the issue.

TBH Manning with two weeks rest might be able to play decently like he did against the Packers. And now without Edelman I'm worried about how well we can move the ball on that defense.

For pure pleasure (I am a bad person), I am reading on Broncos forums what their fans think about Manning...just their thoughts about his career in Denver.

Someone brings up that Manning is the first QB to ever win 4 straight AFC West titles and tries to paint him as a heroic winner. It's so funny how these fans are now just like Colts fans, trying to dig deep for a silver lining despite the major playoff/SB failures.

Had Manning retired after Indy, he might have gone down as one of the 2-3 greatest to ever play the game. In Denver, all that happened is he proved to be the guy they claimed he was not. It had nothing to do with imaginary weak defenses, a supposed lack of supporting cast, unfair criticism of his coaches. He was the same guy in a different city, with all his regular season glory and postseason failures.
