Chris Harris: Broncos Defense has No Weaknesses

This D is good at bullying QB's who can't process information quick enough. Processing information quickly is one of many things tha Brady excels at.

As in the Buffalo game..........it's fascinating to see the connection people make when 40+ point personnel are combined with a 40+ point defensive genius.

According to Denver fans......Wade is the secret.

the wildcard in this match up is playing in Denver. As it'll b an away game and the crowd will b in a frenzy, non verbal communication will be that more important.

Anybody know Tom Brady's record when playing in Denver?

BB will figure it out. :D

They ought to be concerned about our team. And we have no idea who will be on the field (at 100%) by then. So, we'll see.

The advantage DEN always has- against any team -is playing at home. It should be a great game.

I dont understand why others player keep feeding them.
As always pats will beat them and expose their weakness and other teams will follow pats plan.

Linebackers and safety are their weakness. I also think you can run on that front seven.

Like we did in the AFFC game two years ago? Wouldn't count on it.

This game is going to be really tough. Hope we eke out a win, but we ain't gonna pound them with the run.

I worry more about altitude for a sea-level team than about crowd noise.

That was two years ago. I'm not even going into the specifics of how different our teams are now.

If no major injuries, Denver's D is really good, probably the 2nd best in the league, next to Pats D.

Actually, I think the Pats spread them out and run short slant passes and screens to take advantage of their aggressiveness. That is how Brady has picked apart Wade Phillips defenses in the past. Gronk and Lewis will likely have a big game against them.

Their D is the only thing holding that team up. Their will is about to be broken, and peyton is just going to get worse as the year goes on. Look for denver to limp across the finish line this season.

I fully expect our D to outperform theirs in that game.

Maybe we should discuss specifics: their run D is better than 2 years ago, and our offensive line is worse than 2 years ago.

Their run D is third best right now, was 7th best in 2013.

Our rushing offense was 9th best in yards then, is 31st now.

No way we are going to run the ball in a big way on their D.

I'll be happy to come back here and eat crow if I'm wrong, but that seems a kooky prediction. Our plan has been to throw 800 times against much worse run defenses. Will be surprised to see any serious balance. Again, hope I'm wrong! Maybe with a healthy Deion Lewis we can get something out of it?

Realistically, if we win that game it will be on Brady's arm, not scripted running plays.

Blount and Lewis are averaging 4.7 YPC. Our team average is lowish because it's unduly influenced by Brady's 19-20 as we have a low number of attempts. But our top two guys have been successful this year.

Denver has the best D in the league points allowed. Pats are about 9th best Not sure how you think we are anywhere near 2nd best or best.

We need to play them a lot like we played the Seahawks in the SB, the Ravens in the AFCC, and the Jets this year. Basically, let Brady's arm carry the team. We ain't gonna run the ball. (flashback to
AFCC game 2 year ago--ugh)

Yes, and OTOH we have a low number of attempts because we were in situations where we were not successfully running the ball. (Except with the Jets where we didn't even try). I'm not saying we suck running the ball, I agree that 31 is undervaluing us, but we aren't a powerhouse running team, and Denver run D is a powerhouse run D.

One thing is clear: Denver is in our heads.
