The "if X goes down" is a good method to create urgency at nearly every position, though. And what happend if Vollmer goes down? Think about that one, Im sure a CB would be nice, but LT is close to a must have.
Yeah really. Good inside stuff there.PatsFans.com @PatsFans
WEEI: Adam Schefter on D&C: ‘Patriots are always making calls to upgrade their roster’ - http://l.patsfans.com/0hymbrl
We need more than that Schefter.
More like after the last minute. 4PM will role around and we will find out at 4:15 after having to wait and think "did they really not make a move?"
Peyton is definitely retiring after this year.
Agree but about all other positions we have a replacement, not so much at LT unless you know the time table on Cannon? The "if X goes down" is a good method to create urgency at nearly every position, though.
Wasnt Jason Mccourty pretty bad last yearJason Mccourty

He just throws out big names. Thinks this is one great big madden gameWasnt Jason Mccourty pretty bad last year
Not so sure about that. A player with that big of an ego would almost certainly want a ton of attention during every road game for his "one last tour" go around. Doubt he's the kind of guy to keep a secret like that.
At this point, they've helped tailor the team with the strongest defense and running game balance that he's ever had. He very well could play in 2016, and he's stated such.
wouldn't be surpised if he told the whole team already...you know, "win it for peyton" just like ray lewis went out a few years ago. that ravens super bowl still makes me sick to my stomach.
No doubt. Since they got their team back, they've struck out on first round picks probably 70% of the time. They've done well drafting offensive linemen, but little else. As far as QBs go, I'm not a fan of any of this year's prospects at the moment. If they dive in again, then they'll be looking for another one in a few years.Who's this year's Johnny Manziel that they can blow it on? Cardale Jones?
Aim for the stars! They wanted TWO first rounders for Thomas....LOLOLOL
I do know the timetable on Cannon. I'm not allowed to say, though.Agree but about all other positions we have a replacement, not so much at LT unless you know the time table on Cannon?
Except Ray Lewis announced it to the whole world ahead of the season, and it was discussed in depth during every single game.
Does Manning really seem like the kind of guy to NOT want that attention? I highly doubt it. Had they started 0-7, it may have been a different story. It's hard to believe that he'd go through all that trouble to pick up that new scheme only to retire in complete secrecy during the same year.
