Another solid game. OL played little worse than last week, but still a great game by them.

Wow, we have two intelligent centers in Andrews and Stork. It will be interesting to see what BB does. You don't really want to rotate centers, i wonder how both of those guys are at guard
Shouldn't any center be able to easily move to guard? Would seem to make sense I don't know for a fact though.

Maybe Stork doesn't come off short term IR. If they don't need him, they could leave him on IR and use the designation to return someone else.

Is that even an option once a player has been designated for return?

I dunno. I always understood the restriction was on the number of players you take off IR, not the number you designate for IR.

Someone in the forum will know.

The DTR option can be used once per season; that is, one player can be designated as DTR when he is put on IR.

Did either of them ever play guard in college?

I agree thatBB is definitely playing Williams (admittedly a binky of mine) at TE, and he even had a 15 year reception last week. He is an excellent blocker (see Trent Richardson's career at Alabama) with OT size and very good hands, but not a speed demon or someone that will juke you out of your shoes. BB is using Williams in kind of a unique, out-of-the-box type of way, effectively a sixth lineman at the TE position.

However, I question if Williams is the "4th" TE. He has played 26.5 % of the snaps in the first two games, compared to only 15% for Hooman, and Hooman is inactive today. That sounds to me like Williams has scooted up the depth chart to number 3 TE.

The fact that Williams is getting more snaps than Hooman pleases me greatly. The less Hooman the better. Want to put him in on goalline? Super, that's just swell. I don't need to see him as TE2 ever, ever again.

Andrews was on my short list of players I'd like to see them draft in the later rounds. I read a few scouting reports that noted his intelligence, work ethic and leadership. Awesome to see someone I had circled succeed:)

I guess I'll just keep patting myself on the back every week. :D

Nah, but I am glad that he's doing well. I remember reading nothing but good things about him in TC and I'm glad it has translated to real game production. Good for the young kid and once again showing it's not always about draft status or hype.

Not sure, i would assume it would be a natural transition, but the Center position is a unique skillset

I can't help but feel like Tom Brady is having a Dazed and Confused moment right now.

Stork has been hurt a lot since becoming a Patriot. It's a tough position; not a knock against him. However, it is comforting to know that we have another Center we can win with if one goes down. And it's just as comforting to know that the team can improve at the C position and have another quality lineman ready if/when needed. Imagine working up to the big game and having your C go down. Yeah, the versatility thing really keeps a team fluid.

Yep. I'm loving what Jackson and Shaq are doing after only two games. If they continue to improve at their current rates not sure they'll be better than say Mankins or Watters but what matters truly is how they perform as a unit.

I think Andrews sits once Stork comes back but he unquestionably has done more than just hold his own.

The announcers have been taking note on Andrews. BB went out to check this guy out...got another one. Personally, I enjoyed the stories about how Andrews learned to use his hands when his former coach challenged him to up his game that way.

Another solid game by the OL, and I'm glad to see them running the ball the way they should've run
the ball in Buffalo in the 4th quarter.
I thought that Andrews would be completely over-matched in the NFL, but that hasn't happened yet.
Kudos to Bill, Googs & Andrews for getting the most out of that with which they have have to work.
The next 2 games, at Dallas & at Indy, should also provide confidence-builders before home games
vs the Jesters & Doofins. I hope that Andrews continues to provide me more crow-eating opportunuties.

Your assumption that DL of Buffalo was as open to a running attack as the DL of the jags is really silly.

Stork started quite a few games at other positions. As a redshirt freshman he started five games (I think) at right guard. As best as I can tell, he started at left guard during his redshirt sophomore season. As a redshirt junior and senior he started at center. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1664465/bryan-stork

I haven't been able to find information about David Andrews starting at anything other than center. Any Georgia alums that can enlighten us? :D

I would move Stork permanently to Guard I think he would more likely be concussed again playing Center just on the Center to QB exchange. Andrews is looking like a really good Center and Brady doesn't hold on to the football for that long win win. Just look at last years improvement when Wendell moved from Center to Guard there he can just attack! I think Stork at Guard with Mason would be a sick Interior the Best the Patriots have in years.
