Holy Moly, What's Wrong With Wendell?

Stuff like a kidney stone, gallstone or bleeding stomach ulcer is also possible.

That's what I'm saying. Geez...the guy is on the injury report for a couple of weeks with an "illness," and we're already putting him in the extreme category of life threatening illnesses.

There are tons of things that could have prevented him from playing NFL football for a few weeks. Hell, he could have had a procedure for hemorrhoids or a cyst on his ass or something, which is none of our business.

I'm guessing that we'll know more after the bye week, which will give him another couple of weeks to heal up and hopefully get back onto the practice field sooner rather than later.

Maybe those woopie cushions from Nathan Thurm's company caused the cyst on Wendy's ass?

I suspect he might have andrewisplayingbetterrightnowitis.

Wendell was voted a captain. I highly doubt that would have happened if the team really thought he was that replaceable.

You have to wonder if it's something like Solder had last year.. Hope not.
That's exactly what I thought. Sounds like he may need some positive vibes sent his way.

"‘€œI know it’€™s vague. Illness is a good way to describe it,” Wendell told reporters. “I wasn’€™t able to do my job. I needed some time to get healthy. Each day, I’€™m just following the doctor and trainer’€™s instructions,” he said. “As soon as they think I’€™m ready to go, I’€™ll be out there.”

That doesn't sound like a cancer-type thing - sounds something more short-term. If it was related to his surgery he would say so. If it was significantly infectious he wouldn't be around locker room.

So could be a MRSA-type local infection (but then I think he might just have come out and said that), or some sort of "guy thing" like prostatitis. Stuff like a kidney stone, gallstone or bleeding stomach ulcer is also possible.
Phil Kessel had testicular cancer and was back in a few weeks after surgery if I recall. So it's possible but I hope not.

Wow, I feel bad for joking he had the clap on another post.

An STD is what it most sounds like. But I presume this is just an accident of phrasing.

Was just a tongue-in-cheek quip that just didn't come out right.

The fact that he's talking to the media and not on IR should be seen as signs he will be back relatively soon and should tell us not to freak out like psychos the way some on this board like to.

I thought it was already reported as an infectious disease... but I can't find where I read it... maybe it was speculation.

Could be anything. Some chronic issues aren't necessarily life threatening. Wasn't there a player with Crohn's? Harvin had a migraine issue for a long time.

Not that it must be chronic, just that it can be a bigger issue but not necessarily life threatening or career ending.

Could be anything from diabetes to chrones!

Prob should just let it play out!

uh oh...didn't Wendy recently meet Peytie Pooch in person in the bright sunlight?

sounds like his retinas may have gotten sunburned off the glare from Peytie's fly landing strip, Moonhead Alpha....

Or the pre-op testing for the surgery (blood work, x-rays) could have detected something that is being treated........

In the "Patriots Way" we have often heard it is not who casts the votes, but who counts the votes..

Without regard a whole lot of speculation regarding what might be a very minor incident or a very major one, we do not know.. I do hope he has a full recovery and returns soon.

LOL - max bonus points for a Nathan Thurm reference.

I don't know what you're talking about. It's funny that you would say that! They don't make cushions. They make semiconductors for a very reputable computer company. What's wrong with that? Is there something wrong with that? Why, why, why is that something wrong to do? I don't understnad that. Why are you pointing the finger at other people all the time? Why don't you point the finger at yourself? Do a little more reading, maybe? Some time in court - maybe that would be effective for you!

My bad! I'm either a victim of text or a moron... you make the call!

Definitely sounds non-football related. Wonder if it could be something like migraines that has turned worse, and intense exercise is a trigger for it for many people. (Not saying migraine specifically, but something like that that is debilitating but not football related per se).

But as shed said, this is all speculation: could have diabetes, need heart surgery, who the F knows we probably should respect his privacy and stop speculating.

Get well soon, bro.
