I was going to read until I saw it was written by Mehta. The guy when from the Ron Borges of the Jets world to being the biggest moronic homer.

I've got news for Jets fans. Your team isn't going to get 5 turnovers a game all year long (you ain't going to get Frank Gore to cough up the ball untouched at the goal line) and you are going to have score points relying on Fitzpatrick driving the length of the field.

Most of the article is anywhere from rubbish to wishful thinking but I will credit Bowles for keeping the smack talk down to this point. If Rex was 2-0 and still with the Jets he would be throwing useless bravo up I-95 constantly. He's a good defensive coach and I'm sure they'll be top ten with that talent but at the end of the day their offense will drag them down.

In all seriousness, if I were a Jets fan I would probably like Mehta. He really is basically a big fanboy/blogger. He doesn't even bother trying to be objective or be liked by people outside of the Jets faithful. He is a big contrast to so many burned out cynic Jets writers around him, who are just gloom and doom with every article.

"The threat level is high?" Seriously? Just a bit melodramatic there. Threat level midnight.

I'm happy with 2-0, but this article is some BS. Jets have way too much to prove still. Maybe write this before a week 7 battle for 1st place if it happens. But now it's just a joke.

What is something to be damn afraid of though is on the thread listing page, "Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid" was just above something about Brady playing another 10 years. Yeah... that would suck.

So, how many games can these Jets win playing this way?

“Hopefully 20,” Pace said with smile.

Huh? This is hilarious. It takes 19 games to go undefeated and win the Super Bowl not 20. Is he assuming the pats take the division again and get the bye? In that case the jets wouldn't be undefeated. What an idiot.

Basically, two other division winners would have to go 16-0 (on top of the Jets) and win the byes via tie-breaker, forcing the Jets to play on Wild Card weekend.

But this is impossible now this year, since the only teams outside the AFCE that are 2-0 (Cincy and Denver) play each other this year, only one of them could possibly go undefeated. Guess the Jets will just have to settle for 19-0, the poor bastards.

Right. Maybe he just picked 20 wins because it's a nice round number and sounds cool. "Yeah we can win 20 playing this way." Idiot.

Can you really blame them though? I mean after all, a 2-0 start for them is like making the playoffs…. 3-0 winning a divisional, 4-0 winning the AFCCG, and a 5-0 is a GRAND SLAM SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP for them….

GRAND SLAM SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP for them….

That'd be 6-0 (or even 5-1) after beating the Pats in NE and claiming 1st place in the division come week 7.

Lay off the crack honey

Lay off the crack honey

Ha, if the Jets actually are 5-0 or 4-1 going into that week 7 matchup in NE, crack won't have anything on the excitement (perhaps even delirium) that'll be running rampant in NY/NJ. Still a ways to go for that though.

He obviously meant 20 wins over their new HC's tenure with the Jests.

Year after year people look at the beginning of the season and think that it will carry over for the entire season. Usually it doesn't! After 2 games, even 2 wins, isn't an indicator of future performance of a team.

not funny

I didn't make that picture, don't blame me.
Plus, don’t take the picture literally…. It’s just a tribute to the Jets suckage, that’s all. Fireman Ed hates it too.
