I thought they put a good fight at home against the stinky fish. Thoughts? Let's discuss....

I don't know why, but this feels like sort of a trap game.

Same type of hard fought win, similar to the game against Oakland last season.

The Pats took their foot off the gas pedal in the latter part of the 2nd half vs the Bills yesterday! BB will ride them in practice this week! The Pats will crush the Jags!

All things normal should be a blowout by the end of 3rd quarter and then JimmyG time.

if the pats are in 'eff you' mode, they'll put up over 50

I think there is the element of having a record or near record passing game to make goodell and his minions look worse

The Jags actually aren't a bad little team. They have a lot of young talent and Allen Robinson had a coming out party or sorts yesterday. That said, I expect Belichick to scheme pretzels into Bortles' head and Brady to come out on fire. I wouldn't expect a 45-7 blowout, but it should be a comfortable win.

After two solid wins against good opponents, it'll be interesting to see the intensity vs Jacksonville. This team, I don't believe, is ANYWHERE near Pitt...

With the way we played in Buffalo I think this will help the team stay focused.

It does have the makings of a trap game: Coming home after an emotional and hard fought division game on the road, with the bye week looming in players minds afterwards. I think we'll be fine, but if you subscribe to the theory that there's always one "WTF" loss each year, this is one of the candidates.

As for early predictions, I'm guessing Butler on Robinson as they have very little else that worries me. I don't know much about their defense, is this a team we could actually get the running game going against, or will this be another 40+ chuckfest?

Well Tannehill did just go 30 of 44 for 360 and 2 TD against them

Hey, if that's the way to do it, we have the right QB to make it happen! I'm just waiting for that game where we can see if the running game can get it done. Might have to wait for the Indy game to see it though.

Robinson is an up and coming stud WR. We'll see if BB decides to shadow him with Butler like he did with Brown.

The rest of the team I'm not familiar with. Bortles was horrible last yesr but played well against Miami. The Jaguars secondary looks rough on paper so I wouldn't be surprised at the third straight shotgun-based offensive gameplan.

There are no trap games on FU tours.

This game is too easy to overlook. It's right before a bye week. Then we have two weeks to prepare for the Weedon and the Cowboys, then the next two games against the axis of evil-Colts & Jets.

Not when you're trying to show the league you can dominate without any perceived "cheating."

Some of the fans and media may overlook it but the Patriots won't be and that's all that matters.

Initial line straight out of the gate...

Jacksonville at New England / NE -14

IMO we should play D the same we did against the Bills because of Bortles mobility. Let him throw. IMO Blount should get 30 carries. Force feed him until he gets into his rhythm. It's a good game to get him going.
