Howie Long on "deflategate": The Integrity of the Process is Flawed

I apologize if this has been posted here already, I did a quick search and didn't see it.

I have always liked Howie Long. Now I love him.

The process is fine ..... it's the integrity of those who are entrusted to act on the process who have integrity issues.

did you watch the video? One of the strongest statements by any player yet coming out and defending Brady.

This whole segment was great. It's like their is actually a major sports media outlet sees this for what it is and it's refreshing. I liked Jimmy Johnson and Bradshaws takes on it as well. Even Strahans was at the very least tolerable.

I thought Jimmy's defense may have been even better.

Saw this live and loved it.

My only complaint was Terry Bradshaw thinks Tom did it. I don't think he really pays attention to the finer points of the news. He says it was no big deal at all, and that he wishes he was smart enough to have done it when he was a QB… like Tom. He also went on to say QB's should be able to play with whatever PSI they want.

I've never heard Strahan talk bad about them. Maybe because he beat them

I've had a hard time finding a link, I just remember watching the whole thing live, and I remember Jimmy's had he best vibe to it. Don't remember what in specific though.

I can't fault him too much. That's just the kind of guy Terry is. I can't really imagine him spending hours of his time reading into all the 'Mumbo jumbo' of the story.

Suddenly, I feel like watching Broken Arrow again.

Love these guys, especially when Johnson basically tore John Harbaugh a new one eatlier this year when he said he was running the Patriots' "trick play" that Harbaugh was whining about when he was coaching high school games. And I probably have to go back to the 1985-86 playoffs, when Howie was a Raider and said the Patriots weren't a factor and he was only concerned about the Dolphins, to when I heard him say something that wasn't spot-on. OK, he also said that the main problem with Strahan's sitcom was the writing but that wasn't football-related...

I love thee fact that Belicheck went out of his way to call out 20 players that were on those teams and defend them last week.

It's the same argument long is making now and I think it will gain some traction. It's not just Brady the league is disrespecting with this crock of ****e it's a couple dozen players. Pretty good players at that.

Agreed, but your point is? I thought Howie did an excellent job as Travolta's enforcer (in the movie).

Strahan called the Patriots out specifically in the Giants victory parade and mocked the Pats for playing 3-4 on his first show in 2008, saying the Giants exposed the Patriots O-line and proved the need for all teams to play 4-3. He's also said that he and all the Giants greatly respect the Patriots and that anybody who picked the Giants to win SB42 were idiots so he's a tough one to read.
