I know I haven't been musical in almost half a century, but I find it hard to believe that Jules could be put into that position if it was really that important to an orchestra. Let me know where I'm wrong.

It was for "Stars and Stripes Forever." They could do it without a conductor at all.

OT: While I have you here, can I find a great dinner spot in or near Hartford? We're planning on seeing a concert there in July and will want to take in a dinner first.
