1. Revis kryptonite.
2. We know him from his years in the division.
3. Solid route runner.
4. He gets to play against the team that traded him.
5. Doesn't punch team mates.
6. I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!! AND IS THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO . .

He's also the most unclutch receiver I've ever seen (and that includes a certain former #83)! When the pressure is on his hands turn into butter.

Also, Golden Tate did a blog which called the media out for making stuff up and said Harvin didn't punch him.

I honestly think FA dollars are better spent on a better back-up TE for Gronk or further reinforcements for the defence.

I like Stevie Johnson - excellent player and can still do a job - just feel like he is going to be too similar to Edelman and Amendola.

I'd sign Johnson to two 10-day contracts right around the Jets games.

Charles Clay anyone?

The problem with Stevie is he runs the routes he wants and not what the QB expects.

Do we need another WR???

No, but if we're going to bring one in I'd prefer Stevie to Harvin.

I'd prefer Chandler or Moeaki or some TE upgrade to another WR.

I like this thread. Welcome to the Stevie to Foxboro bandwagon. Kim Jong Un is also here.

If this was 2012, I would absolutely want the Pats to go after Stevie Johnson. But since it is 2015, I think I will pass. I don't think his heart is in football.

I think we do not need another Amendola, Edelman's type of WR. Definitely our need is to grab a strong, phisical WR with ability of catching long passes. Or else we should believe Dobson or Tyms will develope and give us a real support.

I would rather have Bowe than Johnson. And I am not clamoring to sign Bowe. And deep passing game is not the Pats game and overrated.

There are real questions if Johnson makes football a priority. Those have dogged him for a while and seem to be supported by his poor play the last two years. He seems to be a guy who will flame out in this offense.

Well, they picked up Brandon Gibson, who's a big rangy wide receiver with wildly up and down hands. Johnson averaged 12.7 yards per reception last season, compared to Edelman's 10.6 and Amendola's 7.4. LaFell averaged 12.9.

Ochocinco redux....didn't like that movie the first time!

Once again I will preface this with the fact that I'm not a fan of Harvin but in terms of fit I think he's better than most out there because of his versatility. He would instantly become their KR, and he is explosive in that role, he can, play,in the shot or out side and is a home run hitter in that role, and he can ruin and be a threat as a receiver out of the backfield. If they can reach reasonable terms and Belichick feels they can keep him in,line out would be a good signing.

Harvin's skillset would seem to make him an ideal player in this offense. Heck, just the mere presence of a bonafide home run threat player being out there should open things up for others and be of supreme value.

Headcase issues aside, I would love to see what schemes and packages Josh could conceive and implement that benefit this offense.

The Pats need both a WR and a 3rd down back/receiving option out of the backfield. Harvin fills both of those roles. Harvin over Stevie.

Harvin is a much better player, it's not even close.

If the argument is that he's gonna be cheaper, then I'll buy that.

But they're both headcases, and if were to choose the headcase to take a chance on it would be the much more dynamic Harvin.

The Pats have LaFell, they don't need another mediocre possession WR.
