The Patriots were behind the Seahawks in total yardage, yards per play, and turnovers, yet they won the game. How could this be?

Well, in addition to one goal-line INT per team, the Patriots held Seattle to a FG once, whereas the game's other seven scores were TDs. Also, the Patriots went 8-14 on third down, vs. 3-10 by Seattle. That plus some yards from the punting game is what I can find that explains the Patriots winning.

Yes, except for Seattle's Titanic- like play-calling at the end of the game at the 1 years line, the patriots coaching and play was enough to win.

You want to talk about situational football, how about getting the Seahawks to jump offsides in the end? That was huge, huge, huge.
