Raven's Harbaugh, about face...

Respect level already low for Harbaugh, respect level drops even lower now. Harbaugh is a straight up liar.

John, everyone knows what you were saying and what you were intimating. The game is days removed now, the understandable heat of battle/sting of the loss reason for your words is past. So how about now being honest and tell people you spoke out of turn after the sting of the loss, but now that a few days have passed and the heat of the moment is also passed, I never should have said or intimated what I said at the post game presser. The responsibility is on me to be prepared, adjust as needed, call a timeout if confused.

It's called being simply honorable John and you just proved you lack it.

I must respond to "highly successful, educated man" using a video by DEVO....

Haven't heard that song in a while...Awesome!

If Harbaugh were posting on a football messageboard, he'd be the guy who's always redefining his terms after the fact so as to never be wrong: "When I said there was absolutely no chance the Patriots would draft a wide receiver before round 4, I naturally meant a flanker. I see this draftee as a split end, so I was perfectly correct."

Well-put and, as described, he's been a regular poster here for quite some time.

About his face? It's stupid.

That's what this thread is about, right?

Harbaugh implied cheating by the Pats. He is dead to me.

"You're dead to me"

Harbaugh is really doubling down on the "someone else is at fault for me not knowing what to do" angle.

You know what the best part of the OP is?

"In his final conference:"

I'm glad to be free of Harbaugh's whining and excuse making until next season.

Harbaugh is pathetic. After his spygate comments and now this. Oh I didn't say this, I was saying this. Even though it's clear you said the word "Deception". We know you're not saying the refs deceived you...

He's as bad as Ndamukong Suh. The guy is pathetic and I have zero respect for him.

Dean Blandino said the mechanics of the officiating will be looked at in the off season but the refs did everything correctly.

He clearly said in the post-game conference that he believed it was "illegal".
Now he says he has no issue with the formations.
No, he didn't. As has been pointed out about a thousand times, the 'illegal' got into the storyline from a single story that misquoted him.

Deception was the key word he used for me. I mean isn't it deceiving when " Jump ball Joe" throws those deep balls, with the intent of looking for a PI call? That's a scum bag move. That's no different than the flopping that goes on in soccer, hockey and basketball. Its ridiculous.

I hope this has been brought up elsewhere, but isn't that utterly unsportsmanlike play-action pass thing the very essence of "deception"? How dare anyone trick a defense into defending the run?

I think his issue was with the officials not giving them more time all along, not the Patriots. This has been such an overblown issue by the media and fans.

Can't agree with you. Harbaugh created a public perception that the Patriots were cheating. Then, given the chance to correct that false impression and accept the blame for his team's confusion, he weaseled out of it and left the lingering impression that his team was wronged.

Now the casual football fan is going to file this in their mental list of "times the Pats cheated" and we'll be hearing about it for years to come. Heck, just this week a major media outlet actually wrote that the Patriots had been disciplined for filming opponents' practices. Headlines stick, regardless of the facts. And the headlines he created looked like this:

"John Harbaugh: Patriots committed deceptive, illegal substitutions"
http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/01/10/jo...timore-ravens-deceptive-illegal-substitutions

I really lost respect for Harbaugh on this one. I thought a lot more of him before this than I do now, but he comes across to me on this looking like as big a dink as his brother Jim, something I didn't think was possible. He may not have directly said he thought the Pats did something illegitimate, but he did everything he could to imply it, especially when asked in his press conference if he thought it was "dirty;" he chose to "no comment" on it.

He just lacks integrity, and given what we've seen from that organization over the years, especially this year, I guess that's not exactly a surprise. You have to wonder what else is going on there that hasn't come out ...
