We're on to Baltimore

Keep Daniels in check, no PI's when Flacco chucks the ball downfield and hold on to the int's ! Offence start off with short game, and if run has any success keep at it.

The Ravens just beat a weak Steelers team. Had the Steelers left in their second string QB, who overcame a 3rd and 21 to get to the Ravens 14, there's good chance the Steelers would have won. Steelers won handily on stats and time of possession, and Suggs bizarre interception (between his legs) shows that Fate was not on the Steelers side. It will be nice if Fate is on our side, but we have the talent to win this one regardless.

This could be a redemption tour on the way to the SB...Knocking out the 2 teams that have beaten us in back to back years in the AFC championship.

My major concern in this game is the state of our O Line. Baltimore front 7 is a nasty unit. It could be a long night for Brady. Fortunately for us, we have a defense now that can cover up for the offense. We don't necessarily need Brady to put up 35 points a game to win. Although it would be nice. This is going to be a game where the offense needs to be mistake free. I know that's the key every week, but this one especially. Baltimore will be coming off a serious high knocking out Pittsburgh at their home..

I don't think there's 2 teams anyone associated with the Ravens hate more than the Steelers and Pats, and they get them back to back weeks in the playoffs. I might even say that with the fact the AFC East has been so non competitive these past couple of years, the Ravens might be our biggest rivals to date. It seems we always get them in the playoffs...

No. All that needs to happen is that the Pats score more points than BAL. If its 35-31 or 20-13 it doesn't matter anymore.

Prepare yourself for an ugly game.

Survive and advance.

Like many have said already, and I agree, if our offensive line can protect TFB, then I like our chances. We need a great game from the boys up front...

..
Time to exorcise the demons of recent years..............

The Ravens allowed 13 points or fewer in 7 of 16 games this season, and finished ahead of the Patriots defense in both points and yards despite the extra two losses, so there's no excuse to be ****sure, either.

Let's take a closer look at those games
Pitt (home game)
Carolina (home game)
Atlanta (home game)
Tennesse (rookie QB) (home game)
Miami
Jacksonville (rookie QB) (home game)
Cleveland (rookie QB first game) (home game)

This is the pats year to exercise some playoff demons.

Beat the Ravens to make up for past losses (also shut up Suggs)
Beat the broncos to make up for last year
Win in Arizona to make up for a lucky catch in February 2008

Pats have a great shot at Lombardi #4

I think short passes to Vereen and Edelperson will thwart the pass rush. The Ravens aren't what they were. As long as Refs don't try to keep this game close Pats will be fine.

They got the matchup I wanted with Baltimore. As long as the oline holds up this should be a breeze. Sorry, Baltimore just doesn't scare me like some people on this board. Not saying they can't beat us, but these aren't the same two teams from 2 years ago either. The Patriots are just better in all 3 phases including coaching in my opinion.

If and when Gronk and Revis leave the game will be the time to start worrying.

Outside of this, the AFCN sucks. Why media loves this division is a mystery.

This must now about the 60th best Dline/front 7 group the Pats have faced this year.

Rothlesburger holds the ball a LONG time which makes pass rush look better than it is. Brady gets rid of it as fast or faster than any other QB in league. Also who did Pitt have for short quick passes. This is how Pats will unhinge their defense.

I am glad we are getting the Ratbirds. Bring on Baltimore....bring on Denver....Bring on Seattle....if we are gonna do this, let's do it right.

Probably because 3 of the 4 teams in their division qualified for the playoffs and they provide a perennial, battle tested contender every year.

Say what you want about the AFC North but it's a brutal division. Even the Browns, the normally sucky Browns play tough defense.

Will probably be similar to the lions game. Hopefully we dont outcoach ourselves too much which are sometimes prone to do.

Have to respect the Ravens because they have a QB who can make the clutch throw and a defense that can turn the ball over and hit the QB.
That said if the Patriots play a smart game offensively they'll be fine. Run the ball and utilize the short, quick passing game. The only way they'll get to Brady is if he's holding the ball too long. Create a game plan where that does not happen. Also run no huddle hurry up quite often. Key guys on that defense are old.
The only team beating the Patriots is the Patriots.
Play a smart and confident game and this Raven team will not come close to taking this game.

Unfortunately this will fall on deaf ears. We have an annoying habit of abandoning the run too soon

This why you want and need a good defense. We have one to compete against Balt.
Ball control passing game against the Ravens is key. Short to intermediate pass game along with a running game. Please, no deep balls from Brady. Field goals will win this game.
Lets hope McDaniel doesn't out think himself...again. If Suggs and Dumerville is shoving Solder up Bradys ass all night its going to be a long night.
The O line will be a major concern against that very good Bmore D.

Cannot lose turnover battle.

Well, kinda happy about it as Flacco doesn't play well in Foxboro.
WHAAAATTT??? LMFAO....OMG!

said it earlier last month..... this is the one team I honestly didn't want to see. I know on paper, we have the talent and better team, with home field advantage. However, the Ravens are the one team that doesn't fear the Patriots...at home. They've done it more than once, they are confident. I think we get the win, our defense is totally different than what Flacco's faced anytime before.

The last time we played them was in Baltimore, last season I believe.... we blew them out. Lets hope for that kind of game.
