LaFell and Easley not present at practice

Well then, let's establish something. If there's a 99% probability that Gronkowski makes that catch, what percentage would you give Amendola to make the catch?
Considering his catch ratio overall is around 50% I would say somewhere between 10-20% chance.

Perhaps now you can see why people may believe the ball was uncatchable for Amendola. That's a fairly low percentage. The matter becomes how you define uncatchable and improbable.

At the end of the day, it's a same-same but different position.

where are all the "easley is a bust" crowd now that he's back at practice? Oh that's right they on;y come out when he misses time or a practice

I just said it was a catchable ball. My post certainly was not intended to belabor the topic for an entire evening. Uncatchable is impossible, which I would not view as the case. That is my point, nothing more, nothing less.

I find it strange that people need to get to the specifics of wording on forums but I see why people would term something with a low probability as uncatchable. It doesn't mean I have to agree with it, but I understand the position.

If anyone other than you were making the argument, it would have received a different reaction. People still would have disagreed, but not in this fashion. I think your Amendola discussion permission slip might need to be revoked. Let someone who hasn't beaten it to death criticize him.

For the record, I find your take in this instance reasonable. The interception was on Tom, but a more talented player could have at least prevented a pick, if not make the difficult catch. Anyway, go pats.

that ball was catchable in the same way that I have a shot at spending the night with Bar Rafaeli.

It was catchable, watch the play. It would have been a difficult catch, but he could have timed it different and got up higher.

It was catchable. Don't blame Amendola for not grabbing that one. It was deflected at the line of scrimmage, slightly altering its trajectory enough that it arrived in a different spot from where he thought. Not a big deal.

But since we're amped up about "catchable" passes, it was not Welker's fault that he didn't catch the pass from Brady in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl in 2012. Brady threw a bad pass over the wrong shoulder forcing Welker to make a Gronk-like attemp at the ball.

Brady should have thrown it up the seam to Welker rather than to the outside.

Here, Brady throws it up the seam over the front shoulder , when Gronk is postioned for a back shoulder throw. Miraculous catch.

When are people going to get it that Brady needs bailing out half the time?

Let's hope it's not injury related.

Brady threw to the correct shoulder. If he throws to the other, the chances of it being broken up at the very least are huge, and same with welker getting a nasty hit. The ball hit welker in both palms, thus no matter the angle should of been caught. That was a case of Tom making a high percentage pass so it wouldn't be broken up or maybe even inted, and saving his receiver. That was where Tom wanted it imo

It's great that we're rehashing the Welker catch here, because I never thought we talked about it enough at the time. Maybe if we talk about it enough the outcome will change.

Not a good sign to be missing a Friday practice. Ayers has been a good find thus far so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's not an injury.

What a dumb trade by BB, getting Ayers. Can't believe they dropped a few spots in the draft to get him.

LB Akeem Ayers' chair was folded up in his locker during media-access period, creating the look of player who had not been at the facility.
This doesn't sound like an injury. If it were strep, he should be good to go Sun. But many possibilities.

It's fascinating the tea leaves that these reporters have to read in an effort to extract injury information.

There were crutches in the locker. But, the way they were leaning, they looked like they could have been a joke. The players was seen walking on the other side of the room; he wasn't limping, from what we saw. But he might have been. We don't know.

Another player had his chair folded in a way that might suggest he was not in the building. That might mean he wasn't injured in practice. Or it might mean he was injured the night before in practice. Or that he was struck by lightning between practices. We just don't know.

So no Jones, no Ayers, and Easley has a knee injury. Is Jake Bequette next man up?

LaFell has strep. he came back for a day and probably got gassed. Strep sucks.
