Are Colts more formidable than Broncos?

Indy has been able to make plays when they needed it. But I agree I think Luck can make mistakes, only because the guy is such a competitor, I would not want to see this game a 7 point lead by NE with 4 minutes left and Indy with the ball. I just hope the defense we have been watching the last month is for real, but they are giving up yards and eventually team will score rather than choking like manning.

You are correct. It is not a prediction. But that doesn't mean they won't on occasion take advantage of situations when public opinion goes against insider information.

Indy is a popular team, but they aren't at the level that NE is. The Patriots are regularly given 1 to 1.5 points more than another team in their situation.
Interesting.

So, you're saying that even though the Pats should be the favorite by a couple of points, the Houses are concerned that too many amateurs will still take Indy, the more popular team with Luck, a popular young QB in a night game with national viewership, and the only way to draw enough money to the Pats to even things out and get everything properly hedged is to make them the 'dog, on the assumption that the amateurs will still go with Indy but the smart money (that otherwise might not touch this game with a ten foot pole) will see this as an opportunity and take the Pats and the points.

That makes my head hurt, but it makes sense.

we are underdogs for this game? love it

No. It could very well be that the smart money is on the Colts and they are trying to entice people with a line that screams "TAKE THE PATS!" Or it could mean nothing at all. But I am convinced that Vegas will spring trap bets on consumers from time to time.

saying manning just choked isnt giving enough credit to the defense for making him play that way. sure they gave up yrds, but when the opposing QB passes the ball 57times they are going to put up yards.

the stats that counted, being getting off the field on 3rd down and 4th down showed the patriots dominating defensively

all the more reason that Peter King was right this morning. I'm sticking to Alamo's contest and keeping my money in my pocket.
